Hopefully FFG have learnt some good lessons over the last 12 months with regards to their supply chains.
The biggest one is STOP ANNOUNCING NEW PROCDUCTS SO EARLY!!
Armada wave 7, 2 Age of Rebellion source books, and Legion
Seriously, wait till its all on the boat, only then can you say with some certainty when it will hit the shelves.
We dont need to be told so early on
I'm new to the FFG and as such was surprised that announcing games way too early (IMO) and subsequently hearing of delays across their product line is the norm more so than the exception. I fear that this game already has had to rely too heavily on a hardcore fanbase too keep the interest going and with two months still to go - it's going to take more than the occational preview article and wonderful selfmade terrain articles on this forum to warrant a growing initial playerbase.

lol. People are 'dumb', consider the scale "wars" that have been going around. Besides I was being snarky.
People just don't appreciate the lost art of the snark these days.
Big fan.
A candle lit in your honor sir. Seems I have a great deal more time than anticipated. More RRG tub time it is then!
...and playing more games I already love.

Instant media/gratification/information travel + unrealistic expectations from tv/movies has people thinking this stuff just appears. You wait, less that a week after release drop we'll start getting "so when do we hear about wave 2" threads....
As for anyone complaining over 5 months.
Think about your fav pc/xobox/ps4 game or movie? when does their hype start? (i'll give you a hint, it's usually 12-18 months, longer if there are production delays) if anything ffg are a little over eager with the volume of info, but not the timing.
Edit: I must say the one thing i am slightly pissed about is this may be our only speeder bike article and it didn't reveal the one hidden card that's a true mystery.....
Hehehe.
First, your hint was the answer. Rhetorical question...ooooooh, I get it. hehe
Second, I'm gonna build off your rhetoric: You should be THRILLED that the whole plot line of the movie isn't revealed before you see it, else, why go? Replace plot with unrevealed upgrade. =)

Unless maybe they announce so early to get ahead of any potential leaks? After all, Leia and the Fleet Troopers were leaked before the official announcement, I'd we would have heard about Legion between the original announce date and now.
And you left out the RPG Setting book that works for all 3 Star Wars RPGs, and the 30th anniversary RPG re-release.
I maybe over thinking things but there is still the special forces group, if I remember right, that we haven't seen anything for. With the release 2 months away, is there still more minis that haven't been shown.
Edited by erock84I would pay more for FFG products if they could solve their supply chain issue. When an on-line vendor is out of stock on half of the X-Wing offerings, 1/3 of Imperial Assault, and 1/7 of Armada you have to wonder how much more could be sold if there was stock available. I get wanting a worldwide release, but sitting on the core set for 2 months because all the other items are slow arriving is just frustrating.
I'm guessing some of the delay is related to what happened with the Destiny release. They thought they had plenty of product, but demand was significantly higher than anticipated and greatly hindered uptake and lost players in the process. Given what I witnessed in that community and what I've heard about the difficulties with Armada and Rune Wars, I can definitely understand why they delayed it (assuming they actually did) as interest in the game continued to grow.
I'm afraid the "demand was higher than expected" excuse turns stale after it happens for **** near every game they ever launch.

Yeah, unless they were going off of Runewars sales, which would be foolish.

When I went to pre-order the core set was unavailable, but 2 days later they had plenty of stock. It seemed odd at the time, but if FFG were trying to meet demand and had to delay that makes sense.

Thank you. I'm hoping we won't have to buy a copy there.. that will be bullocks. Yeah, I plan on getting another Core Set anyways.. but this isn't what I'm budgeting for my Adepticon trip... maybe I should?
