Wah waaaah
Well... the good news is I now get to finish my Bolt Action British and Germans.
I guess I can continue to work on my Zombicide minis.
Honestly, I'm not losing my mind about this. I had hoped it would be sooner, and I've been waiting for this game for a while... but I'm used to the lengthy wait that comes with video games and this isn't that much worse.
Well...guess it's' proxy SWIA minis til March lol
I cannot believe release is another 2 months away. Literally nothing I can do about it, but I am getting REALLY sick of FFG's horrific supply line issues that are constantly delayed. I hope this delay is in response to the catastrophic launch of Destiny because if there are similar shortages of Legion on launch I'm done with FFG and going to start throwing money at GW with all my friends playing 40k right now without me because I have no models.
Also, I don't think they realize it, but stretching hype trains paper thin with pathetic 5 paragraph "preview" articles every other week that are mostly BS filler 5 months in advance of release does not get people excited for your game, it just pisses people off that they have to wait so long.

I’m okay with it, I think I can completely finish painting imperial assault by then.
Yeah i've put all my plans for this game on hold for now. I was building terrain like crazy this week thinking the release would be end of Feb. Now that I know I can literally do nothing for the next month or two and still be on track I just lost all of my steam. If GW releases the Daughters of Khaine before Legion is out i'll be beyond bewildered, Legion is now coming out at a time when other things are coming out that I am also interested in..which is something I was hoping wouldn't happen.
My willpower to not play 40k is really starting to crumble ![]()
They look good! I’m finishing Jabbas realm and heart of the empire, I have 20 minis left and then I need to get and paint 10 blisters, it’ll be a little tight but pretty sure I can get there
I’m also planning to augment legion with them anyway. Scale is a little off but who cares?
Yay I predicted late March. I'm not sure why I'm happy about that haha.

Scale will only be what we make of it. House rules and non official tournament will be fun. I'm gonna plant some Wampas to jump units that get to close to that strangely ominous cave entrance on the game table rofl
Edited by NihmCompletely happy with this, lots to do. What was frustrating me was the lack of a date.
I was thinking of the same thing, use GW’s hostile environment rules and be like the Rancor is now everyone’s most pressing concern!

Not going to rage quit because of it but yeah, week of AdeptiCon launch is kinda awful. Attending a release event at AdeptiCon basically insures that everyone will be standing around just trying to get to know the rules. Those kinda games are much better to have at your FLGS aren't they? Among friends, laugh off that your stormtroopers that died a turn ago, actually shouldn't have because you either missed something or didn't fully understand that rule... in an organized play atmosphere.... not so much.
Im a bit lost why anyone might quit because they have announced the release date finally, isnt it great news?

With as much as the game has been hyped, for the release to be that far out is a bit long of a delay. I agree I don't think THAT is a reason to "quit" before the game has even been released, but some people may disagree.
This is kind of a bummer. I was really hoping for mid February. I guess the good news is I'll have plenty of time to finish my terrain. My game store might put it out a tiny bit before that. They don't have a ton of storage space in the back. Sometimes they just put stuff on the shelf the day it comes in.

My store is the same way with storage, as they devoted most of their space to gaming tables. The long hold times can be very hard on their limited storage space.

lol. People are 'dumb', consider the scale "wars" that have been going around. Besides I was being snarky.

How do you quit something you haven't started?
I would think that people who are choosing not to buy the game are doing so because they have changed their mind. It's the whole impulse buy versus a considered purchase.

Instant media/gratification/information travel + unrealistic expectations from tv/movies has people thinking this stuff just appears. You wait, less that a week after release drop we'll start getting "so when do we hear about wave 2" threads....
As for anyone complaining over 5 months.
Think about your fav pc/xobox/ps4 game or movie? when does their hype start? (i'll give you a hint, it's usually 12-18 months, longer if there are production delays) if anything ffg are a little over eager with the volume of info, but not the timing.
Edit: I must say the one thing i am slightly pissed about is this may be our only speeder bike article and it didn't reveal the one hidden card that's a true mystery.....
FFG definitely missed it with the timing, in the past 7 days there have been 4 articles released. They are going to have to scale way back on the amount of articles released per week and that will kill the hype.
