22MAR is a loooong ways away...

I'll let you guess what relevance that date has...

It annoys me they are holding back the core set just to release it alongside all of wave 1. I'd be content working with the core set itself for a few weeks.

I haven't seen any evidence that says they are doing this.

I don't understand why they went on this Blitz if it's gonna be 2 months.

FFG US hasn't confirmed this, and Legion has been on the boat for some time now. I find it hard to believe there is 2 more months of wait.

I’ve seen a retailer saying 22 March on Facebook, but no evidence backing that up yet.

I will believe any release date when the game hits the shops, and not a second before.

Not from FFG themselves, but retailers...hopefully they are wrong or misinformed.

I’ve seen dozens of retailer dates so far. Until FFG gives a date, it’s meaningless.

Agreed. At this point, I'm inclined to believe that March 22 is the correct date. FFG would've have told us already if it wasnt almost the last possible date in Q1. Lame.

FLGS owner on Facebook posted a screencap of the email FFG sent out with that release date:

"One of the questions that we’ve been asked most often since the announcement of Star Wars: Legion is, “When will the game release?” Today, we’re happy to be able to answer that question. In a few hours, we’ll be posting an article on our website, but we wanted to make sure that you’re the first to know—Star Wars: Legion will release on March 22nd, 2018!

The Star Wars: Legion Core Set isn’t releasing alone on March 22nd either. Eight expansions will be going on sale at the same time. In summation, the products for Star Wars: Legion releasing on March 22nd are:

Star Wars: Legion Core Set
Star Wars: Legion Dice Pack
Star Wars: Legion Movement Tools & Range Ruler Pack
AT-RT Unit Expansion
Rebel Troopers Unit Expansion
74-Z Speeder Bikes Unit Expansion
Stormtroopers Unit Expansion
AT-ST Unit Expansion
T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion"

Good news ... a date that could be tangible and accurate.

Bad news ... I keep being random models to learn how to paint and base and all that hobby stuff

The Spanish FFG site has had March 23rd for awhile. The release dates on that site seem to be 1-7 days after the release of the product according to the .com site. I'd be surprised if they would release the game a full month and a half in the rest of the world before the Spanish release.

As long as we have an official release date, I'm good. Bummer it's not sooner, but now we know what to expect. It was the unknown that was killing me!

Gives me time to figure out the paint scheme based on the expected play tables. Also gives the weather time to warm up so I can get my priming done

I’d be very disappointed if I weren’t used to these long delays with armada. To those new to ffg, this is pretty much the norm. They rarely hit their target release dates which is why they keep them private. I keep hope my they get their issues sorted out but I don’t think they will. Almost every wave in armada has released months after the expected release date. This Is just the way ffg operates.

Maybe they pushed back the release date to fix some major error that they "just discovered."

I thought the target release date all along had been 1st quarter 2018?

Adepticon is MMarch 22nd...I suspect they will have a big release event there (last year they gave away full copies of Runewars)

Many people presumed/hoped/thought that meant early first quarter, instead of absolute last day that is considered the first quarter.

It is like talking a salary range with a person or potential interest rates ....

One party hears the high number and the other the low

Trust me. I was really hoping early Q1 and appears it will nearly be the last day of Q1.

I'm still hoping this is fakenews. However it's still in q1 sooo.... mustn't grumble.

LOL. Same here.

Another thought...

What if all the different FFG websites had their own listed release date, but only the Spanish site had bothered to check how long it would take to write all the relevent figure and rule articles...

Well that's a major major ouch.

Not going to rage quit because of it but yeah, week of AdeptiCon launch is kinda awful. Attending a release event at AdeptiCon basically insures that everyone will be standing around just trying to get to know the rules. Those kinda games are much better to have at your FLGS aren't they? Among friends, laugh off that your stormtroopers that died a turn ago, actually shouldn't have because you either missed something or didn't fully understand that rule... in an organized play atmosphere.... not so much.
