FAA Corran

Been wanting to try this out:

Corran Horn: Juke, FAA, Plasma Torpedo, Guidance Chips, and Sensor Jammer (45)

Captain Nym: VI, autoblaster turret, but I Harpoon, Extra Munitions, Cluster Mines, Connor Net, Title, Sensor Jammer and R5-P8 (54)

I know Corran is flimsy without R2D2 but I hope sensor jammer helps, plus FAA can help him fly off and regroup when cooling off. Nym is fairly basic, wanted mines and nets to cover Corrans escape. And I prefer autoblaster to TLT.

I don't understand why you'd want to put these on Corran. What is your goal? What do you want him to do?

I think that your Corran is trying to do too much there. I have a bit of change, leaving the heart of Corran in place.

I dropped the torp. Corran likes to double tap and run, especially with the FAA. No need for chips then. I was thinking EU, but I think you want evades based on your EPT so in this meta of bombs an extra hull is sorely needed on Corran.

I think one of the best ways to make sensor jammer work is if the attacker doesn't have a focus to modify. In comes a cheap crew carrier, Fenn, to get hotcop in the action. Adaptability gives him 8 to help with target selection or 10 depending on the matchup.

Not a lot of points left, but Lowhrick is never poorly spent points, run him with Fenn to keep the coordinating, hotshotting support bug alive.

If you want to keep the Corran build I have above but keep Nym in I worked this up:

So its heart is also the same with the 4 mines to discourage those who would chase after fragile Corran. But I still think hotshot is needed, so no title. This changes a few slots, and with out a system I think TLT is the way to go. I know you prefer autoblaster, but on this build I think TLT is better suited. Dead is weird, I know, but with 2 PS8s you may loose the PS bid a lot so they are almost like the PS4 Rhos, deadeye will help get those 2 harpoons off. And speaking of harpoons, yeah. Just yeah.

Hopefully not too different than what you were thinking.

I’ve ran Corran with Fenn Rau and that’s honestly the best way to get use out of him right I think. If you want to go 50/50 with him, I’d pair him with Rey. Just go all-out offense and hope you kill the biggest threat before you burn up. Because of the number Kylos on the board now, you almost have to invest in a hull upgrade to make he doesn’t get burned in two turns.

It's not so much that it's non-regen Corran, but that it's Sensor Jammer without a way to f*** with your opponent's tokens. Gotta get Hotshot Copilot in there somewhere. If Corran is just 42 with Juke, FAA, and Sensor Jammer, that'll probably fit in some sort of a HSCP carrier, whether that's a Fenn in a 3-ship list like @Rolotamasi suggests, or perhaps some sort of Han or Rey.

Han with Adaptability, Baze Malbus, HSCP, MF-Evade title, Engine Upgrade would fit along side it. High PS boosts and Hotshots, plus you could Adaptability-drop to double PS 8 if your Han is either outclassed by opponent's 11s, or if you're facing a lower PS list.

That said, I might just rather run Juke/R2-D2/FCS on a 43 point Corran along with some sort of Hotshot Fenn Rau (Rototamasi's list perhaps). That'd be pretty nasty. Corran gets focus/evade from Fenn's coordinate, and you'll be able to get double-use out of the Juke, and the second shot with TL.
