Upgrade Types

By shmitty, in Star Wars: Legion

Has anyone compiled the known upgrade types so far?

I’m working on a Legions/Armada/X-Wing/IA campaign idea and it would be useful to know the Legions upgrade categories.

Thanks

Officially we don't know all the exact slot names yet, but we have a general idea. So far, Corps units have access to Grenades, Gear (misc equipment like grappling hooks and scopes), Heavy Weapons, and Personnel (extra standard troopers). Luke and Vader add a slot likely called Force or Force Power. Leia and Veers have a slot that might be called Command, but it isn't certain yet. The vehicles have Hard Point slots for extra guns and Comms (or maybe Communications) slots for comlinks, jammers, and the like. The larger vehicles also have Pilot slots to add a named character to the vehicle. I think that's all the slots we've seen so far.

Perfect, thanks!

There was a thread that had all the keywords translated from Spanish

Are you planning to use star wars Rebellion for the campaign map? I myself have also played with the thought since it offers miniatures perfect for representing forces for all game systems (IA: storm- and rebels trooper, X-Wing: X-Wing and TIE, Legion: Snowspeeder and AT-ST, Armada: CR90 and ISD).

I really considered that. I think Rebellion is a great game. I also looked at using the map from the Corellian Conflict. In the end though I went away from using a map at all.

My inspiration for the campaign is setting up a big multi-theater final battle like Scarif or Endor.

Have you watched Rebels? One of the meta-arcs for season 3 has the Rebels doing various missions to gather weapons, supplies, ships, and allies for a major attack on the the Imperial factories on Lothal. At the same time Thrawn is busy leading the Imperials in testing new ships and weapons while gathering Intel to find the Rebel Base. The Imperials find the Rebels just as they are about to launch their attack leading to a large multi theater battle at Atollon.

So, my thinking is each side gets a bare bones, un-upgraded force for the final battle and then there are 3-4 rounds of missions where the two sides can gather intel, weapons, technology, personnel, and training. The rounds would be done escalation style with the forces getting larger each round

As an example there could be an Imperial supply depot full of munitions. The Rebels could launch a raid in Legion to capture the depot. If they do, they gain access to weapon upgrades in X-Wing and Armada. If the Imperials successfully defend then they get those munitions for their ships.

I have a bunch of brainstorming written down for it so far and I’m working on getting it structured into something workable. One of the keys is keeping it flexible enough to work even if one or two of the systems isn’t represented.
