With wave 7 dropping in just a few days, I wanted to take a quick look back at the cards that wave 6 brought us. My question for everyone is:
What was the Most Valuable Card (MVC) that wave 6 gave us?
I see three cards that are in contention for the title of MVC.
- External Racks
- Boarding Troopers
- Disposable Capacitors
I think you could make an argument for any one of these cards to take the title, but to me, there is one stand out: External Racks. Here is why:
- Cost vs. Benefit: It only cost three points and can really cause a good roll from any ship with black dice to be great.
- It can go on any ship with an ordinance upgrade. Boarding Troopers are good, but we mostly see it combined with other upgrades, I'm looking at you, Avenger.
- Disposable Capacitors are nice and all, but as a mostly rebel player it isn't that great for me. You slap this upgrade on a Vic and it is great, on a AFMKII or Pelta...its ok but not great.
What do you think? Does my Rebel bias discount Boarding Troopers too much? Or am I just completely wrong?
