Hey sorry if this is common knowledge, but is there a thread about how to get set up to play IA skirmish in Vassal?

I couldn't find anything through the search feature..

It's right on the IA module page (http://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:Star_Wars:_Imperial_Assault), instructional youtube video under "Skirmish"

I found it easiest to play a learning game with someone who knows what they’re doing. If you join the Boardwars Discord channel and post in the Vassal pickup that you’re looking for a learning game, someone will help you out for sure.
