Phoenix, Arizona stateside. The DH group I'm with plays at our FLGS due in great part to it be more centrally located to us than any one person's dwelling. Anything else I play is usually hosted by one of the players or the GM.

Small group of gamers who have been playing for the last 20 odd years together...
Progressed from WoD (Dark Age Vampire, Hunters Hunted), WFRP to DH.
Looking for a new location as lounge is too small...
I'm in Hertfordshire. Failing the ability to get into some roleplay at a university, you could try your local Games Workshop. People who like playing tabletop 40k might make the transition to DH/RT/DW more easily than someone completely unfamiliar with the universe. There may even be some games running already that you could join.
There are a lot of roleplayers in London! I have many friends there who play World of Darkness stuff for a start. I'm sure if you can get a foot in the door somewhere, you'll discover there are a lot of people around you who are into RP. Good luck with finding them.

Annoyingly, I'm only 15, so it is extremely hard for me to find RP groups. (As I said, I haven't before.) Many groups meet in a pub therefore no access for anyone under 18, plus, I don't really do 40k anymore (my local GW shut down, and the other close one kinda sucks compared to it) so it's kinda hard for me to meet people to RP with.
Philadelphia, PA, though we've been losing players left and right. Two having moved to Pittsburgh for jobs and another having broke up with her fiance (who unfortunately had been paying for her college). We're down to only myself and two players. Everyone else I know would never been interested because of time constraints. I go to a pharmacy college, meaning coursework is far more intense and those who aren't studying every waking hour of the day are working to pay for college. Finding anyone besides the three of us who are free on a Thursday night is impossible. And forget about weekends! Everyone else goes home because there's nothing to do on weekends, but there's nothing to do because everyone goes home!
Hopefully when I move out to Columbus, OH for grad school next year, things might pick up.
Houston, Texas, US. Most of my gaming group I grew up with since high school and the rest we met along the way. We're a pretty tight knit group, although I'm more of the mind-set to include newcomers.
North America, United States, Washington State, Seattle.
We either game at my home, which is a two bedroom flat. In the living room with my 40" flatscreen used for bringing up pdfs, or we game at the local gaming store, as one of our players is the owner. Our gamers include 2 college boys, a Barista, a game store owner, a Marine, and 2 prop making female crafters, 5 guys 2 girls, female GM. Age range is 25-40.
Gaming at my place entails slightly less than stellar seating and table space as I do not have a conventional living room set up instead having two desks with ridiculous monitors for a living room space. 40" monitors are fun. Playing at the gaming store entails hard chairs but a nice table. Lacks the "homey" feeling and since we play from 7pm-1am homey is nice. One of my players recently offered up their place which is said to have a large couch and a large table. We plan to try that next week.
Over the course of my gaming I have gamed in, Game Shops, GW Shops, Book Stores, Libraries, Garages, Backyards, Parks, Basements, Churches, Camping and more.
Interesting thread, not you usual topic.

just by curiosity a side question what is a " prop making female crafter"?
you can find players in france in all great cities which by their size are small compare to north american cities. i know clubs in the sout west in the south east but in the north the rpg comunity is less and less important. if you go in my country my advices is to sheck gaming store. if it can help.
Sydney, Australia. Playing with a couple from the same small group of people we've been gaming with for 10-15 years. Either in our Lounge room or theirs.

I guess you've already tried getting friends into RP? If you're willing to GM, you can invite people to come and give a game a try, and if some of them get into it, they might want to continue and perhaps run a game you could play in later on.
Failing that (or as well as that), you could always fall back on online RP for a few years until you're able to get into older groups. There are lots of play-by-email games that are a good way of enjoying RP without needing to be somewhere in person, and if you can't join a PBEM DH group, perhaps you could start a new one. I'm sure I've seen one or two advertised here on the Forum already.

For Cosplay, Fan Films, Film Production, Fan Replicas and anything anyone else might wish to dress up for. I, for instance, often where my Browncoat regalia as a regular outfit. Browncoat style old WW2 pants with suspenders, then I wear a T top and a tube top under a brown shirt, braid my hair into twin pigtails and put my Browncoat and Browncoat dogtags on. The boots are usually left off unless it is a convention.

OOH OOH ! 40k camping! Im down for that and I hate camping! I play at the lgs NOW only 1/4 miles from my place! =)
I run a group based around the Medway Towns / Maidstone in North Kent, UK. We normally use a member of the rp group's living room, but when we had a dnd stint last year we used a function room at a pub in Maidstone.
I have also had the good fortune to run 2 DH sessions in the Bugmans Bar at GW headquarters, the atmosphere was perfect for rp.

Europe - Federal Republic of Germany - Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (city-state)
We play mostly (ca. 80% of the time) in a players house-sharing community, where I also lived for a few years a couple of years ago. He has a huge flat-screen TV-monitor, where we can display pictures from his PC. I normally bring my notebook along to have data at hand and play appropriate background music.
The group consists of 5 players and me as the GM. We are all male and between 30 and 32 years old. We (actually 4 of us) played WFRP since 1989 (with some longer breaks in the nineties) while the fifth player (childhood friend) came around in the late nineties and the sixth player (fellow student) about 8 years ago. The sixth player is actually the only one with RP experience outside of our group (D&D).
We now play DH for about two years instead of WFRP and sometimes RT when one of the players is not around. We normally play every thursday (or at least we try to do...) from about 20:30 to 0:30 and about always order pizza beforehand and drink some beer (except one who is drinking litres of coke instead) during play.
I GM from the most comfortable armchair in the district while sipping my slightly cooled Becks...

Where do all of you game?
I've been wondering for a while, I would imagine most of you are American, but you never known....
Well judging by the posts I guess you are wrong on that one (or at least the majority of people who have posted are not American=
Saint John, New Brunswick (Canada) myself. We play at one of the player's flat. Right now we are rocking out with a WFRP campaign (Terror of Talabheim second edition, no 3rd edition crap for us), but prior to me taking over we were playing DH. I run DH on www.rpol.net and am playing in a game there as well.
Phoenix AZ, usually in my apartment.
Looks like Phoenix has at least two solid groups going.
I currently have a waiting list for seats. Popular game.
Heck. Chances are decent I actually know some of the guys in the other group and just don't realize it..
