Where Do You All Game?

By dyp100, in Dark Heresy

I have no idea if this has been posted before, but I hope it hasn't so I don't annoy you guys.

Where do all of you game?

I've been wondering for a while, I would imagine most of you are American, but you never known, I live in London and sadly I'd ever met anyone who has even heard of D&D, let alone DH or RT, I tried to get my friends to come round this week and try it out but I've had my hopes crushed by them cancelling on me.

Europe > Germany > Nordrheinwestfalen > Bielefeld [From "Larger Geopolitical Unit" down to "City"]

I live in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK, and I RP with a group of close personal friends (my RT playtest group) and at the local university RP society I used to run, which has about 70 or so RPG players, about 30 of which also play Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader (about 5 games of DH/RT running each week, and then there are the DnD games, Shadowrun, nWoD.....)

I also run/play games on Dark Reign's forum, and on RPOL.net.

Well I'm in Glasgow, Scotland and play with friends. Everyone I play with goes to the local GW so we are all familiar at some level with 40k and Fantasy.

Tomorow we will be playing at my house although we have no regular playing area.

I'm in Reading, Berkshire, in the UK. I tend to run most of my games in the back of Eclectic Games, a large gaming shop in the centre of Reading (it's literally just across the road from the station). Reading has had a large gaming community for as long as I can remember, and can be found in a few places across the town - namely, the local GW (which is one of the oldest in the country), the aforementioned Eclectic Games, Reading University (where GenCon UK has been held a couple of times), and Spiky Club (which is more of a wargames club, and at one point one of the largest in the UK, but there's still a decent number of RPG players there).

I run DH at the FFG Event Center in Roseville MN, In the Dark Heresy room no less.

I live in Brisbane, Australia, and I game with a group of six. We use a Baptist church (although I am an athiest), which gives us room, peace and quiet, air-conditioning, and a large table.

Muncie, Indiana, USA. I run a game for some friends and family in my living room. I haven't been able to find many other interested players in my area.

@ Lucius T hey im in Shelbyville Indiana, id playe with ya but im a bit underaged when it comes to experience and well age for that matter, when my friends were in town seeing as they are all gone for the military now we played in the local libraries basement it was great

Near Albany, New York, United States. (About 3 hours north of New York City.) Our friends come over to our house. My husband and I host so that we don't need to worry about a babysitter for our son.

Cambridge, UK. I tend to recruit from the local University RP society.

Do all colleges usually have an RP society?

Fairfield, Connecticut, United States or Washington, DC, United States depending if I'm at College.

Perth, Western Australia. My gaming group hasn't played Dark Heresy before but many years ago we played a campaign of WHFRP. I'm trying to learn the DH rules as quickly as I can so I can run a campaign but it is obviously difficult to prepare to run a game system you've never actually played.

Brunswick, Maine at the local store in town generally. Mostly dnd unfortunately, on the upside the dm there is interested in someone else starting a game and knows a bit about 40k, so I just need to get him interested and see if he can bring a couple more players... I will convert as many as I can, for the glory of the Emperor! or at least I'll have a regular group for my adventure ideas rather than when I can get my friends on skype >.<

UK, London, well south of The River.

Canberra, Australia. My group and I play in either my place(I'm the GM for DH) or one of the other players hosts at his place(we play there most weeks) most of us knew each other and the 40k universe before we set up our DH game. There's quite an active rpg/gaming community in Canberra so it's not that hard to put together a group if you check the normal places(the game stores, the universities, and online) all in all it's pretty sweet here.

My gaming group is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. All but one or two of the regulars live there, and we played usually in my brother's home when I am GM' ing, but I'm about to move house so very soon I will have the space required to host the sessions in my own place happy.gif

Ooo, this might come in handy. Is it a club or is it just you and a bunch of friends?

BTW, thanks everyone for replying to this threat, I never thought it'd get so many comments.

The Netherlands as well, near Arnhem. Playing DH, RT and various other roleplaying games with a group of gamers I met during my university days.

Unfortunately no. Some I've been to (like Purdue in Lafayette, IN) have thriving RP groups. Others (Ball State) have nothing. It really depends on the people and the place.

Totnes, Devon. My group consists of a writer, a surgeon, several comic artists, a surveyor and a builder (me). We RP several systems with Warhammer and it's various iterations (40k, etc) and Cthulhu being our favourites.

Where as most universities in the UK have them. Not heard of one yet that doesn't.

from france

well you have guessed. to be more precise in the city of ligths. plenty of rpg groupes there but few DH

Jackson, Tennessee, USA. We play at various of our group-member's houses, and on Friday nights we use a boardroom at a local hotel.
