Hey, I just bought a Punishing One and I am wondering how I should build it post-nerf?
Cheap, Fat, High PS, Low PS, With or Without Title...
discuss (please)...

I'd say the most simple and efficient u-boat build is this:
Most scum players have the K4 security droid, but if you do not have expertise, I suppose it could be replaced by lone wolf (both LW and K4 is in hounds tooth if you dont have them).
Dengar (33)
Expertise (4)
K4 Security Droid (3)
Punishing One (12)
Total: 52

He is a bit more weak against the stress builds of current meta, but he still have some good greens, which in turn gives him target locks.
If not, you can go for a focus every round or a barrel roll for position.
A meta consideration could be lone wolf + countermeasures on him.
Another way to build it is to combine a bumpmaster (feedback/anti-pursuit-lasers/intimidation) with harpoon-jostero and a post-nerf trajectory simulator/bomblet/TLT nym.
Could be a consideration!
I also think the bumpmaster is still valid, flavors are plenty:
Intimidation, anti pursuit lasers or ion projectors, feedback array, intelligence agent or bo shek.
Makes lots of fun, comes in at about 33 points or below.
I sincerely hope Manaroo will get unnerfed at least a bit. Making her ability range 1+2 shouldn't break the game but would give some more options besides fat Dengar or bumpmaster.

I was thinking that too! Bumbmaster never relied on torpedoes anyway right? (making the nerf less harsh for that particular list...)
Thanks!
Dengar still works, Expertise/K4/Title/Countermeasures/Scav Crane is 56 points and will dish out a lot of damage before he goes down.
A scout set up as a blocker (bumpmaster) is a solid support ship:
Of course it's not really a U-boat if it can't take Torpedoes anymore

Why is that? Is it because U-Boat is a different name for Submarine? Which in turn are known for carying reallife torps? In that case it shouldn't have been called a U-Boat anyways since it isnt sub marine (under water)
.
But thanks for all your tips!
Edited by Wookiee_SlayerI've often thought about Dengar with Lone Wolf and Recon Specialist (probably also Scavenger Crane/Countermeasures). It's more defensive in some ways than K4/Expertise, but it'll be harder to barrel roll.
I've seen folks praise a Wired, Maul, (Contraband Cyberntics) Dengar. One nice thing about this is that it starts as low as 49 points, 50 with Cybernetics, which seems strong for the list.
Scout (or Tel) with Dengar crew, Expertise, title, and optional seasonings is really rather a hoot.

It strikes me that Tel with Countermeasures is the same 52 point price as a K4/Expertise Dengar and would fit well along side a 48 point Timewalk Asajj. It'll be a tankier version of the list, but with a bit less punching power.
Only 49 points for a Scout which also adds Scavenger Crane.
