Ten Numb coupled with Nym or other harpoon carrier is pretty nasty. The Mangler will constantly trigger the crit, and the trajectory bomb is pretty fun too, without the NPE of Genius ruining the game for everyone.

Keyan or Ibitsam could use either build to be honest... but an engine upgrade PTL Keyan is a lot of fun! even more if you put in Adv. Sensors. it's crazy.... CRAZY!!! the opportunist build is pretty nuts too... couple with Hot-Cop Fenn and it will throw a ton of damage, sensor jammer helps keep him a live too, especially with the hot-cop build. Nera is pretty...well normal.

Man do I love this topic. I've been flying some Bs lately and pursuing some good, janky, but reasonably-priced builds. Let's start with what I've flown:

Ibtisam (28)
Wired (1)
Collision Detector (0)
Hera Syndulla (1)
B-Wing/E2 (1)

Total: 31

I really like this Ibtisam. She's not horrifically expensive, she almost always gets good rerolls, and she flies around doing reds all day. Whoever said that the B has a great dial if you don't care about red is dead-on the money. And Ibtisam with Hera don't care.

Ten Numb (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Advanced Sensors (3)
Linked Battery (2)
Bistan (2)
B-Wing/E2 (1)

Total: 40

This Ten Numb is a fair bit more expensive than I wish he was. He's got a lot of capability, though. I think I prefer Bistan to Mangler because it's a point cheaper, keeps your Cannon open for LB, and still lets you get the bonus die at R1, even though it leaves you cold at R3. He feels more expensive than he's worth, though it's hard to slim him down much IMO... like despite the cost, I'd have a hard time giving up AdvSens because it helps you dance and/or get actions while pulling reds.

As for the others, which I'd like to fly soon:

Keyan Farlander (29)
Stay On Target (2)
Advanced Sensors (3)
Intelligence Agent (1)
B-Wing/E2 (1)

Total: 36

I saw this Keyan build somewhere above. I know that Maul is his new BFF but I hate having to try to cram Ezra somewhere in a list to unlock Maullander. Meanwhile, this should keep him slippery...

Nera Dantels (26)
Deadeye (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
Extra Munitions (2)
Plasma Torpedoes (3)
Guidance Chips (0)

Total: 34

And last but not least: Nera. Man I just wish I could get her to be cheaper. I fear she loses too much flexibility if she doesn't roll like this, though. Plasma strikes me as the best balance of cost and damage output, though I could see doing a discount Flechette build to shave points and make her an overglorified turret.

I was thinking of running this in a local tournament. Any thoughts or suggestions?

•Ezra Bridger (22) - Sheathipede-class Shuttle
Snap Shot (2), Hera Syndulla (1), •R3-A2 (2)

•Lowhhrick (30) - Auzituck Gunship
Selflessness (1), Wookiee Commandos (1)

Blue Squadron Pilot (24) - B-Wing
Fire Control System (2)

Use Linked Battery instead of Fire Control System on your Blues. For the same points as FCS you get a reroll that doesn’t care who the target is. You can use Collision Detector for free in the system slot to use Debris to your advantage.

I have nothing but contempt for Lowhhrick. It’s nothing more than the Rebel’s latest Biggs crutch. Abilities like theirs will always limit the design potential of infinitely more interesting amd deserving Rebel ships and pilots.

Real Rebels leave their damage nannies at home (or don’t buy them in the first place.)

Understand the Linked Battery and will playtest that out. How do you propose I keep Ezra alive without Low, long enough to get any use out of him?

Fly smart and trust Ezra’s ability to evade damage on his own.

I realize Lowhhrick might be a competitive choice for your list. I understand some players actually enjoy flying a meat shield. I don’t care. I believe Lowhhrick is boring and bad for the aspects of the faction I enjoy; therefore I will always advocate against it.

Love this thread. I'm a (bad) casual player, against either my son or at a local club. Usually losing to the former and about 50/50 at the latter!

Quite frankly I just don't have the time to work out great combos of cards, pilots etc, so threads like this are invaluable.

However, I won't fly the latest WAAC list, but what I like.

And what I like are B wings! I'm aware that they aren't that competitive, but given I keep losing to my son (who plays Imperials exclusively) the ideas above are really useful.

I did have some fun playing Keyan, Ibtisam and the PS2 pilot all with heavy laser cannons. 4 dice at all ranges.
