Random question - Do any of the people who have removed the 5th Engine still have it? I am looking for a couple for some conversions I am working on and stumbled across this thread.

Either that, or its a slight nod to BSG.. What with the name, Atlantia..

That's some great work.
...FINALLY got this image to work...
Hello All
Here is my Mining Guild C-ROC Repaint, along side a mix of official Mining Guild TIE's and some converted/painted ones also by me.
Wow, that's brilliant (yellow!!)
I like!
You don't mess with the Mining Guild or your're going to be eating rocks farm boy!
Great work on the ships. Very thematic.
WOW. Mining Guild C-ROC is gorgeous. That is so great.
The blue has a weird look at the pics. Some about the varnish and the light. Whatever. More pics here.

I LOVE IT! The paint scheme is simplistic and I always appreciate a non complicated scheme! I know this’ll sound weird, but are you going to name it? Like give it an unofficial title you’d call it for fun? I know I’ll do it for mine!

The initial idea was to add a Se`p logo somewhere on the hull, but I'm scared of ruin it. 🤣
A name, yes. Indeed a story. A republic astromech who hear an Obi-Wan-ish comment like "Go ahead, leave it. It's just a droid!" and then was touched by an ion explosion so his personality core suffered alterations . He survived, he stole the C-ROC using his republic codes and he went straight to the CIS to join and complete one simple task - TO KILL ALL ORGANICS. Specially Jedi organics.
I'll write it properly and show here. 🐿️
@ minaith I think I've heard that story, but with a slightly different color palette...
@Minaith Don't fret, I believe the comment was in jest. That ship is the "Planet Express," a delivery ship from the (very funny) show Futurama.
One of the crew members is a beer drinking robot named Bender. There's a running joke about robots plotting to destroy all humans and Bender seems to be okay with that. I think you can stream it. Definitely worth a watch--or three!
Ah! I know Futurama and Bender but haven't seen the show. Bender is a good teacher for my disabled astro!

**gorgeous repaints**
That looks amazing! As someone who has never painted a miniature and would like to start, any advice for painting gold on black? I've been wanting to repaint a bunch of my swarm ships in Mining Guild colors, but I heard yellow is difficult to work with particularly with a dark base.

Use a base or primer colour first. Yellow, light browns, bone or white will work. Then the yellow you like. Averland Sunset from Citadel is your friend.
If you are painting really gold, the metallic, black is a nice start.
Alternatively, and depending on how are you scheming, I'll buy a good yellow spray paint and go mad on the ships, and then brush the black.
PS: yellow is a hard start. Maybe you would like to buy or grab some cheap plastic soldiers or whatever and try with them first. Check the coverage, the paint consistency and so.

Hello and thank you
With my repaint.
Step 1. Sprayed over factory paint job with grey primer
Step 2. Masked off areas i didn't want yellow
Step 3. Airbrushed the whole model using Citadel Air Averland Sunset (could also brush this on with base version of the paint if no airbrush)
Step 4. Citadel washes of Agrax Earthsade and seraphim sepia
Step 5. Drybrush yellow with Citadel Yriel Yellow and lighter drybrush of Flash gitz yellow
Step 6. good old sponge and black paint to chip, scuff and carbon score the yellow.
Black areas were hand painted in (previously masked grey primer)
Containers, engine blades, radar, etc all hand painted in black/silver/grey.
Mining Guild logos hand painted.
Separatist Privateer retrofit.
That looks awesome
