I am not so affine with FFG‘s artwork critea etc. but i think, though I might be totally wrong, that they shy away from using stuff not in the game except occasional SSD so I was quite puzzled when I saw the french and spanish FFG site using an artwork with an Interdictor ISD

so is it just me hoping and seeing stuff that isn’t there or is there something behind this?

I am possibly just seeing ghosts but anyway

There is no correllation between Artwork and Releases...

Cool Artwork of a subject is chosen, often ignorant of background details...

... I mean, my favourite picture is still "Predator", which has Reclusant/Providence and Venators in Rebel Livery from X-Wing days... But nothing here...

The DP20 was apparently on Slaved Turrets...

Its just... Artwork is Iconic, that's all, so we want correlation. But there is none.

For card art, I'd generally say that's true - although when someone starts showing up in a lot of art, that can sometimes be a clue.

Still, the art on the French 'Star Wars Armada' home page ...I mean...

Hey, according to that guy who popped up earlier, the Current (Rebels) Interdictor is the Interdictor Star Destroyer...

Besides, Art Work in some places is old and all... FFG doesn't really get limited on time of use once they've purchased certain pieces of Artwork.

This topic came up a couple of years ago already...

TLDR; this is just the FR/ES publisher for FFG products doing their thing. Nothing to see here, move along.

Well, given the fact that there's lag time between concept and release... Previously the best way to kill Yavaris was Rhymer-Bombing the Side, and that appears to be what is depicted...

As someone that flies a sloane swarm I will always be incredibly confused about the legend that is Yavaris lore, between it dying so easily and being able to alpha so hard it's just not that impressive.

It's almost as if art is sometimes just a pretty picture...

all ffg artwork holds meaning. If the cards are aligned correctly it will lead you to......choke gasp.....

FFG seems to go by what looks cool and thematic, even if it's not necessarily going to mean anything.

To give an idea of their mentality, the "Intensify Fire!" card shows on it just a Star Destroyer and an MC-something, but if you look at the source painting for the card, you'll see a battle based fully in the old EU with Hapan Battle Dragons, Bothan Assault Cruisers, and an MC90 in the background.

It can be argued that Basically, we have - it’s an older concept of the current Interdictor... kinda...

there was 2 basic Interdictor chassis... a big one and a little one...

the big one was isd based, the smaller one was the vindicator cruiser based... (the 418)

our currebt Interdictor looks like the little one, but is sized more like the big one.

The little one is still mentioned in Canon, so we may get it eventually...

a legends fighter I hope makes it back around. it was the direction the x wing went instead of the one like Poe flies

Also, there is a Hapan Nova Cruiser below the Star Destroyer.
