Ugh this makes me so annoyed, we sold out of stock at our local game shop within 2 days as people were buying them out in droves and haven't been able to get them back in stock since, and then these guys have so much that they are selling at a discount!!!

So much that they need to discount it heavily. FFGs distribution network in action as usually. if you are smaller store owner they often don't even deliver enough stuff so that you can cover your pre-orders, meanwhile MM gets enough units so that it makes sense for them to flog them.
Buy them where you will,It doesnt matter to me. I shared this for those that might still be looking for one and cant locate them at their local store. Enjoy.

Not F_GS, but L, at least. Most of their small-base are typically $12, or $16 for the bigger ones.
I thought those stores buy in bulk to be able to offer a discount. Business model or something like that.
I've bought from my (f)lgs ((f) cuz we didn't have a store champs last year), Barnes and noble (I have a membership, and I bought my first ships from them before finding a group to play), and also from miniature market. But, they are kind of local to me, just a drive across the river to their store.

I do totally understand buying local as one of my friends did run his own FLGS about a year ago where i live and would send my money there first. Sadly these online stores like mm was the bane for him so now his store shut down. Imho, more power to the local person that can stay open and do well despite these larger online retailers. Shop there first as possible and these online places only maybe as a last resort.
My FLGS is an hour away. One way. And I don't even play there. Therefore, I bought my 2 gunboats from Kingwood Hobbies at $10.99 each and feel zero guilt.
I am looking to purchase 2 gun boats. Does anyone have 2 to sell, or know if their local FLGS has them in stock?

The first side gives me a "This page no longer exists", so, guess they sold out.
The mini market one also lists the gun boats (and tie strikers) as sold out..

DOH.. Thought it was a recent thread, not from back last year..
Managed to snag two of them yesterday from one of my FLGS- one that doesn't tend to have X-wing players frequent it (it is more geared toward 40k/card gaming than our other local store). Had a league member grab a couple a month back or so from a comic store, so they are out there sometimes. Double-check local comic/hobby stores, you might find one.
Aside from price gouging, why is anybody buying star wings? Seriously asking because they have been completely dead in my local meta. Sure somebody is making waves with a very complex and built up vynder but that doesn't mean the ship is any good in general.

I used the "hatchetman" vynder build today- work fairly well. I think the ship itself is decent, not overprice or underpriced for what it is. The OS-1 loadout is the way to go, cannons in general aren't great, but the ordinance loadout is quite nice. I view it as a variation on the TIE bomber, little bit more expensive, but it has the shields and SLAM to compensate for the expense.
