No, if someone else is empire, I’d let them use Vader or their other correct commanders, and use my pseudo evil not-Luke as mine.

Luuke?

Oh man, that’s perfect. I forgot all about that. I was going to go with Yun or Rosh from the dark forces/Jedi Knight pc games.

I’m going to paint my Gungans to look like White Walkers

I'll be doing my Rebel troopers in a mix of forest and urban camo, trying to give a sense of irregular troops. Maybe do some in old legends SpecForces colors. Fleet soldiers will be like those seen on the tantive IV

My imperials will have unit markings. Sort of like the armor in the clone wars. I'm telling myself that the white armor is sort of parade dress while the stuff on most of my troops will be actual battle dress. I'm also going to play with the base color a bit. I might do some stormtroopers in a more desert brown base. Kind of like the shoretroopers from R1

Commanders will be accurate, probably @Sorastro mimic.

AT-ST I'm going to do either in a desert brown (like an M1 Abrams in Iraq), or an olive drab. Either could be desert or forest camo. I've already got an AT-RT and two AT-STs in shades of grey, I want this one to look a bit different.

For basing I'm going Astrogranite with 2:1 brown black wash. I'm buying urban mats so I'm going to base to go along with that.

After Gamblefront II I'm sorely tempted to paint me a pink Darth Vader. In general, though, I want my stuff to be screen-accurate, the resulting low amount of visual variety is actually the main reason my interest in this game is severely limited. Well, that and high cost vs. low chance to play.

I wanna do “Player Two” variants of the heroes I like most.

-Vader a battle damaged versions with robotic/cyborg arm legs showing

-Luke: a darker color scheme or a head swap on a Rebel trooper body so he’s firing his gun and using his lightsaber

Normal Units will be uniform/screen accurate . I plan to base each Squad differently; desert forest, city or rocky. No Hoth or snow bases as I feel most the terrain I’ll make will be Urban, Forest or Desert. This makes it easy to tell individual units apart and I’ll paint a the matching dominant color square on that squads card. I did this with Imperial Assualt and it greatly helped keep track of wounds and effects.

I'm gonna paint my rebels for Endor, using a lot of tips from Sorastros guide. I will likely do changes to the basing, and I prefer the guns to be more of a black. I think instead of mixing grey with a silver i'll mix black with citadels leadbelcher. I aim to be as screen accurate as possible with what I have. But at some point I just have to stick with what I can afford cause all these paints and basing materials can easily end up being over fifty bucks at least.

You have no idea. :P

I’m testing a few things on some IA minis I bought. I’m thinking inferno squad for my troopers. I really like the color scheme for the fleet troopers though, so I’m thinking I’ll use that one for my rebels if I don’t try something better before launch.

I think I found my fleet trooper paint scheme:
