Id prefer to see more variety in sculpts such as you know maybe a female figure or two... Some Aliens would be nice as well. Accepting all species in to their forces is a hallmark of the Rebel Alliance. The miniatures should reflect that.

I am not crazy about the Leia sculpt, the pose is odd....not much likeness. At that point they shoulda just given her the poncho and helmet. These might look better in the flesh but the fleet troop helmets look flat, and less rounded at the front/top. The rules are fine but these are the worst models so far IMO.

There are no aliens, but the trooper farthest to the left is a woman.

I think its important to note:

Its Leia Organa. I wonder if we will get a Leia Solo, Or Leia Skywalker eventually.

The sculpt is straight crap. I'm glad I'm playing Imperial now.

The running fleet trooper might be a woman if that helps. It would be nice to have some aliens though, but maybe they wanted to keep the more iconic look to the group, I know I'll likely try to paint some of my rebel forces as near human races like Mirialan.

Also Leia/Fleet troops says release second quater. Veers/snowies says q1 still.

I'll need to see these in person without any paint but to me, they are what I expected due to the heroic scale they are using for this game.

Heroic scale can be off-putting when the figure isn't wearing bulked up armour, robes, etc.

Also, the paint job on both are simple so that can add to it as well.

Overall, I can't wait to get me mitts on 'em.

The painting is crap for this mini. Women faces are more difficult to do if you don't take time enough... in the preview her face seems from a guy. With a good painting Leia would be much better.

I hope we get more female and alien troopers in future expansions, but the lack of alien fleet troopers doesn't bother me as much since the films never portray alien fleet troopers. I figure they are all Alderanians, so woukd be human.

Good catch. Hopefully this means April rather than June, but my experience with Armada releases says otherwise...

ya the troopers on the Tantive would most likely have been House Organa loyalists. And therefore from Alderaan. But what about the other ships troopers?!

Give them those scopes that improve their aim. They do get a free aim if they stand by. (I'm not sure how good "Stand By" is going to be, but this could be really powerful.)

I’m all for diversity and what not and we just got an awesome female leader, I really think that they’re going to like an expansion pack with just different alien sculpts to throw into the different cores. If anything the fleet troopers being all male makes sense.

I think the sculpts are good but they have a horrendous paint job. Somebody should check the Spanish legion site. They always post pictures of unpainted minis

I was wrong on Leia's courage value, nimble, sharpshooter 2, and her weapons. Also the big one I missed was her point value.

She has a lot more offensive potential than I guessed. It looks like she is significantly better than Veers, but it might come down to how good aim tokens are over dodge.

It almost looks like FFG said, "We have to make sure Leia doesn't suck let's fudge the numbers a bit."

Doesn't seem to be on the Spanish site yet, unless I'm blind.

cant do an action more than once in an activation ( other than move)

These guys are short range but still manage to trow twice the dice of a stormie unit, for the same cost. I really hope they haven't overvalued def dice again points wise.

Anyways, these two expansions releasing quarter 2, isnt it about time FFG gave us a release date? Do they not know themselves perhaps, issues with deliver?

You aren't doing an action more than once a turn, you are taking the Aim Action to gain an Aim token, then getting another free Aim token from taking the Standby action.

The boat and customs seems to vary it by weeks. so why give us something they were unsure of or possibly couldn't keep. It's not like the do hard dates for anything else they ship.
