If Countdown uses his ability to cancel all the dice results to take a damage card....is that the same as being "hit" and breaks stealth device?
I' trying to figure out if he should have stealth device or hull upgrade.
Thanks team!

If the dice results were cancelled, then the attack did not hit.
Edited by jmswoodWere there any uncancelled booms or kabooms after the compare results step? No because Countdown cancelled all of them already but took a card. The attack therefore misses (unless taken by Blount) which means the Stealth Device stays active.
@jmswood and @StevenO are right, but it's not a terrible question to ask. Notably, Countdown works differently than something like Draw Their Fire, Selflessness, or Prince Xizor. However, I think the differences in the text are fairly clear and illustrative.
Countdown cancels results in the "compare results step," which happens before the test of whether or not the attack hits: the results are cancelled prior to that. However, someone like Xizor requires "uncancelled results" which presupposes that you've already been hit by the attack. So while Xizor can suffer no damage and have been hit, Countdown can suffer damage and not be hit.
If all red dice were cancelled the attack did not hit.
This means if he uses his ability any "if this attack hits" effects do not go off
It also means Gunner triggers and attacks again.
Countdown with gunner is awesome.
Isn't Light Weight Frame better then Stealth Device like 98% of the time?
Hull is likely the best though.

On Countdown the reason LWF would be better than Stealth Device is because it is 1 point cheaper. Stealth Device ALWAYS works and because of how Countdown's ability works it's highly likely that attacks are going to miss so it sticks around. LWF may not always work although I'll grant you that in a tournament environment it probably will more often than not.
A Hull Upgrade usually is better than SD but Countdown is one of those ships with an ability that will throw off that math.
