What about new extensions ?

By lrobert1402, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Is someone has some news about it ?

In fact, a lot of products are going out for Legion but no more things for IA... How is it that ?

Why nothing is created about:

- the Death Star (an old dream since 1977)

- a big forest as Endors or Kashyyyk & ewoks or wookies,

- the heroes of Star Wars Rebels ...

- Adventures in space: in StarDestroyers, Big Transport...Millenium faulcon ?

- Dagobath and its mysteries maybe old temples

...

Thanks

I, too, have wanted a Death Star expansion since (what seems like) 1977.

I can imagine a mini campaign, starts off with your team allowing 4LOM and Zuckuss capture them alive and given to the Empire for the bounty. You then escape and hack the mainframe to get info on a new Imperial scheme, sabotage the star destroyer you're on, and escape to the planet surface to put an end to the plan. A great way in to incorporate the last of the Empire Strikes Back bounty hunters, and let us see Imperials who aren't troopers.

Or a Rogue One mini campaign wouldn't be bad either (if only a year+ late).

Eh... most of the tiles in the core set are based on the Death Star interior and on Endor/Yavin. In fact we already have missions in the game set on Endor, a Star Destroyer and even on the Millenium Falcon. I really hope the next expansion reaches farther than things we already have plenty of in the game.

Hoping for Beach/Tropical tiles and Tantive white interior tiles for a Scarif expansion. A Lothal expansion could also work with wheat fields, highways and shanty town tiles that brings Kanan, Ezra and/or Zeb into the game.

I guess the problem with Tantive IV is- what else could those tiles be used for?

The good thing about most tiles is that they can apply to multiple situations. Trees could be Yavin, Endor, Kashyyyk, etc. Even snow tiles feature on planets other than Hoth, like Fest, Ison, etc.

Kamino, maybe? (That would actually be kinda cool!

The app might be able to give us an entertaining Death Star quest using the Imperial interior tiles from all the released sets...

And I totally agree with running around the beaches of Scarif by mixing the core's desert tiles with some new ones.

I do not see that as a problem as long as we get other type of tiles. Some of Bespin Gambit tiles are situationals like the carbonite chamber.

I like that idea!!!!!

I think a lava board could be really promising -- use it for missions on Sullust or Mustafar. It'd be distinct from the usual forest/desert/interior tiles that we've had so far. I envision a Sullust-based campaign with some elements from Rogue One (Saw Gerrera, Death Troopers) and a Sullustan hero.

I could also see Nein Nunb being brought in as an ally. With a Rogue One-inspired campaign, a hero who is a guardian of the whills could be an interesting choice. It would be cool to see him gain an ability that makes his/her white dice "lucky" a la R2, so he can be like Chirut. An imperial defector could be different and interesting choice.

Getting into Descent recently, and lava is actually a terrain type in that game with actually environmental effects. I'd love to have it in this one as well.
