Ah sorry, just catching up on putting it out there :).

Was it that we thought it was over costed? I do really want to see it combine with acm and a multi victory list could do well with it.

Basically yeah. It is expensive, but it's also 3 free damage. If APT is 1 for 5 and ACM is 2 for 7, 3 for 9 seems pretty fair. Obviously there are other things consider (won't do damage if shields are gone, on the other hand longer range), but I think that strong an effect would be dangerous to price too low.

DCaps Raider IIs with Screed or maybe Vader will be devastating with these things, I reckon, to soften up targets from long range. Also looking forward to trying it on a Raddus Star Cruiser with Caitken & Shollan. The Vic gunline idea sounds interesting too!
