Yeah, but the FAQ does say she is optional so maybe your opponent won't use her ability.....

Have we really devolved into the only thing that matters in X-wing is what gets nerfed?

I have yet to meet a bomb that's friendly. But yeah if I was a bomb any cries for Nerfs (such as what was above) would cause me to detonate, unless I get a Blaster turret fix.
As for the FAQ it is not a NerF.A.Q. (thank the Force) but more of a general housekeeping and clarification FAQ as it should be.

Well yeah I sort of find it odd as it was intended to follow the words and not well other stuff. A TLT can set it off but an HLC can't

Hey, I didn't call for the nerf, I was just happy about it. I thought it was good for the game that the interaction was nerfed, and used caps lock for exaggeration (and because I'm glad I never have to face it in tournament). I'm not even that competitive! I don't want X-Wing to be about nerfs, I want it to be about dogfighting and good piloting.

Ugh. Sabine is not that big of an issue. I don’t think an FAQ is required.

A HLC can, but only if you reroll into a critical hit. Which is exactly how it behaved with an HLC before the FAQ. To me, that line seems like a red herring which doesn't clarify anything.
