I’ve thought about this and the answer is either March the latest something has been announced previously in a year, or after they update the heroes for the app so in the future character packs will be immediately in the app upon release.

Yeah, we now know Legion is coming March 22nd.

A lot of people think we'll get no IA news before that- and probably none for a few weeks after, too. I'd say we're likely looking at April at the earliest for any news of IA expansions at this point.

I don't know if there are any guarantees , but we had Heart of the Empire announced early May last year with an early/mid October release.

Depends on how far along the expansion's production is prior to preview. There have been instances where we've only waited 2-3 months from announcement to "In Stores".

Dang. I really thought they'd have something for us by now.

Maybe some new characters from the new "SOLO" movie? New release or no new release, I will still continue to love this game. I would be happy with just 1 big box a year.

Someone streamed an unboxing yesterday, so there’s content in the wild at this point. I assume FFG is holding off on the “full” launch until Wave I is ready so there’s more stuff to buy in the interest of avoiding the issue they had with previous games where the core box was out with little to supplement it for weeks / months.

Shot in the dark, but I've been thinking, and I'd like to amend my prediction about us getting nothing announced before Legion's release.

If the next wave is a blister wave, I think it could be announced any time, really. Before or after Legion. But I still think we wouldn't get a boxed announcment until April.

Legion has dropped and IA remains nowhere to be seen.

After all this waiting, waiting and waiting , they must come up with something BIG in this 2018!

As I'm primarily a campaign player, I' love to see an Imperial campaign. The opportunity to play with 5-6 new "heroes" from the Empire. A big core box if necessary. A starting setting in Endor, outnumbered by rebel scum, similar to what Battlefront 2 did brilliantly (the beginning at least ). In this way, the Rebel players could have the coveted ewok minis, and Imperial players could kill them all. Everyone would be happy! Truly, that would be an Imperial Assault.

They could also make a big box merc-based campaign, with 5-6 new bounty-hunters, criminals, exiles, etc. working for big Poppa Jabba or another famous kingpin, beating the dust of rebels and imperials alike, depending on who pays more, and the possibility of making moral choices of good and evil at the end of a mission or during it, with consequences over the campaign of course.

With all the boxes and blisters that exist today in the market, they could easily do both.

Particularly, I do not like the trend of bringing characters from the cartoon series Rebels. I hope they stop it and focus on the movies. Might be that I'm becoming a grumpy old man, but I certainly hope they stick to the original trilogy, rogue 1 and (hopefully) Solo if it is good. I do not want to see at the turning point of the campaign a space whale floating over my minis.

Right, Legion dropped, but they weren't gonna hold of on everything IA just to steal Legion's thunder in a week. I expect it'll probably be at least 2-4 weeks before we hear anything, still.

And not sure you saw, but it looks like at least some Rebels stuff seems likely...

We won't see anything til close to Worlds, maybe a new map and a new set of figure packs (Rebels most likely)

Yeah, poor them. Looks like their prequel trilogy core box announcement will have to wait until next week.

Hey, at least that was packaged with an article for an upcoming product. We don't even have that!

we have to at least get an article for a new map before worlds.

If our long-awaited IA article turns out to be just a skirmish map announcement my brain is going to shatter.

relax. just play and paint with what you have. run another campaign. play some skirmish. let it be a surprise, rather than stressing yourself out.

im happily running two campaigns. will play on the weekend. life is good.

i wish for yours to be good also
