WC Fleet Patrol Battle Reports
We sorry @BiggsIRL . I was very sleepy by the time we finished.
@moodswing5537 vs @Viktor Tanek ends in a 445-162 tabling in my favor. Moodswing won the dice off and chose to go 2nd. We played his Sensor net and tied on tokens 3-3.
Thanks Mood for a great game. In hindsight, he probably should have chosen to go first and it likely cost him the game. Demo beat up and Demo and Mood's squads finished off my Demo. Morna, who had been on vacation all game, came through at the bottom of round 6 after Mood lost all his ships and rolled exactly enough damage to kill my gozanti to pull it to a 9-2.
Log file here .
Thanks again for the game!

This was a fun game, even with the face punches I took. In hindsight, my fleet wanted first, but @Viktor Tanek did all the work here. Cymoon is a beast, at one point rolling 11 dice to vaporize a gonzo. What I took away from this game though is that I REALLY like morna/ jendon combo.
Great game to vik and I expect his fleet to wreck folks in this tourney!

It's so good....

Current issue is that I want to do Sloane next, and morna doesn't fit there. Screams for maarek. I'm gonna tweak what I have though. I like motti in this fleet. Just NEED TO GO FIRST!
@themightyhedgehog / @webv - You going to have your game complete soon? Otherwise we'll move on.

That’s my fault. We’ll schedule it soon.

If Morna worked with Sloane I would never fly anything else. Since she doesn't, no Sloane.
And I've won half of my WC battles going second Motti makes it ok.
WebV vs hedgehog just ended. We played my most wanted. I won 433-107.
Cactus beats @Villakarvarousku 248-229. We played his Opening Salvo.
Motti's ISD Kuat Refit sensed Raddus' trap, and charged forward to protect the lighter fleet. Motti set himself on a patrolling arc, looking for the deadly Aspiration. Imperial comms agents identified Raddus' flagship, and the ISD bulled forward hoping to spring the trap early and eliminate the enemy commander before he could escape into open space.
As the Avarice barreled into the enemy fleet, Raddus juked to just out of range of the ordnance barrage that the Kuat Refit had prepared. However, it did find two alternate targets, a damaged CR90 cruiser and a small flotilla coordinating enemy squadron actions. Leaving nothing to chance, Imperial Boarding Troopers forced the enemy flotilla to stay in place for a devastating attack from the forward guns while the damaged CR90 was destroyed from the port side batteries. However, the Aspiration arrived just in time to intercept the mighty Star Destroyer. With the entirety of the enemy fleet concentrating fire into the warship it was rapidly destroyed.
However, by springing the trap early and destroying critical support ships, the Aspiration was left in a far more vulnerable position than would typically be allowed. Motti's slicer teams worked desperately to prevent the Aspiration from escaping the approaching Defenestrator, even using their own opening salvos and concentrated fire to batter down the overcharged shields on the ordnance cruiser. One of the teams was lost in a hail of fire from the combined fleet, but it was too late: Defenestrator pounced forward, battering down the final shields and leaving only unprotected hull between himself and victory. Barging through an asteroid cluster at the risk of critical damage, Motti ordered the Defenestrator to concentrate fire into the unshielded side of the MC75, obliterating the structural braces and detonating the core reactor!
Damage to Raddus' personal flagship sustained from a brutal Gozanti salvo sealed the fate of his fleet, forcing him to escape to hyperspace in search of emergency repairs.
Another hard-fought victory for the Empire over the cowardly rebellion!

My own objective definitely screwed me over there. I took it in the hopes of helping the CR90B's trigger HIE (and mistakenly believing it would help the Ordnance Cruiser as well), but it's not worth it. The hyperspace ship can't benefit, neither can the transport, and of the three ships that could use it one blew up before firing a shot and one I forgot. Meanwhile, thecactusman17 got four shots out of it, including the Gozanti that put a hull damage on my flagship for another 40 points.
I was surprised when the Kuat chose not to fire at the fresh-out-of-hyperspace Aspiration directly in front of it, but it turned out to be the right decision in the end when Demo was just able to finish it off in round 5. A well played game and an exciting one to the end.

This is the rare instance where that 5 points is completely paid off on Gozanti Cruisers vs GR75s.
I was expecting Most Wanted or Advanced Gunnery as your red (your others were almost automatically discarded, especially Intel Sweep after my fight vs JJ in the regular VWC). Opening Salvo really benefits fleets with lots of small attacks like Gozantis.
Irishmadcat beats @vweb 139 -107. Was goign to record the log file with obs. However the log file has no ships visible.......
Edited by IrishmadcatJJs vs PartyPotato (Player 1)
Objective: Intel Sweep
475-208 (MoV 267) win for JJs Juggernaut (I missed a lambda when we counted it ingame PartyPotato)
A tense matchup. I was able to kill a number of ties with my AA which help slow the incoming damage against me. My demo sacrificed itself to get some damage onto the VSDs, and my Quasar was killed trying to escape the combat zone. My ISD then came in and managed to snag a kill on the very low Dominator, while using JerJerrod to position himself in front of Warlord. Even without first player, the ISD was able to come out on top of the damage race, surviving with 4 hull. A good game to @PartyPotato . It was a very tense match, and if not for some very close manuvers going my way, I think it would have turned out differently.

Logged with 3.6.8 and works with that version at least, haven't upgraded yet.
I went rabbit hunting and played out making a better decision and activating my ISD first instead of sending in my Demo too early (on turn 3?), but still had trouble getting any points with my imitation vader cymoon fleet (GK? copied it from one of you smarter folks). Super fun list but I think requires a more subtle touch at the helm than my white knuckle flying. Hattip to @Irishmadcat for a delightful match and the Discord tips.
Edited by webv@Aresius vs MightyHedgehog just ended. We played my fighter ambush. I won 284? to 248. I closed out quickly and then realized I forgot exactly what I won by.... My apologies. Either way it was a 6-5.
Brobafett v Real Admirals is over - 150 / 102 for a 48pt MOV win to myself.
Thanks RealAdmiral for being a great opponent, even if the game wasn't particularly a barn burner. Still had a grand time!
@CaribbeanNinja vs @Viktor Tanek ends in a 178-152 victory for myself. CN went 1st and chose my Station Assault.
Link to logfile here .
Wow, that was a pretty fun match. Poor Devastator only got one long range front arc shot and nearly took down Demo. Meanwhile, CN's raiders ran all over the place and blew up a station. Demo 1.0 avenged the murder of his flotillas by taking out JJ and Instigator. Ciena and Velen whiffed on the 1 hull station to swing the victory in my favor. Great game, great opponent.
@Thrindal vs @GiledPallaeon ends in a 243-127 MOV 116 in favor of Thrindal. GiledPallaeon went first and chose my Station Assaut.
Great match, great opponent. We both played versions of our lists that have since been further optimized but it was a great match. GiledPallaeon sacrificed his GR75 in order to block my lead Arquitens, when that Arquitens couldn't kill it my whole fleet got jammed up, in retrospect I probably should have bumped up to speed 3 on the Arquitens and jumped the GR75 instead of taking the double ET ram as it left the Arquitens sitting in the front arc of his MC75 which obliterated it first activation next turn. Giled then parked the MC75 in front of the ISD but with combined fire from the remaining Arquitens and a dual Arc on the ISD and the fact that the ISD could ram and land back on the station the MC75 didn't last more than 2 turns. By this time most of the killing was done, Home One was pulling around the back of the ISD but in turn 5 the ISD was able to go from speed 1 to speed 3 thanks to a command and a token and got himself into Home One's front arc saving it. There was a light squad presence on both sides with Shara Bey, Valen Rudor, and Ciena Ree doing their usual annoying things but I was able to kill Shara turn 6 with an excelent/lucky Ciena shot.
Although its my first version of my Tarkin list it continues to outperform its creators skill level, or I just found something that works for me...
Very nice opponent, thanks for the great game GiledPallaeon, I look forward to playing again in the future.
Edited by Thrindal@jp82729 vs @Visovics good game with a good opponent. Result is a 222-8 win for myself. I went first, and selected planetary ion cannon as the objective
With deployment and activation advantage Thrawn’s ISD and Arqs were able to continuously avoid any black range shots from the twin Kuats. It took multiple volleys from Thrawn’s ships due to a lot of obstruction tech, but they were able to bring down the non-flagship ISD and Raider.
Last call for games?
Everyone's got until the end of tomorrow to finish them.

Oh. . . my game versus Alex is scheduled for the 7th, as that is when we are both free. . . Would you mind giving us an extension? If not, I'll concede as it was my schedule that put us back a week.
I've been giving @Green Knight time to recover from his game. I would also like to request an extension while we set our game up....
