GCW units

By Y-Wing, in Star Wars: Legion

Looks like for the time being, only heroes and units from the original trilogy will be in Legion. With the introduction of rebel fleet troopers, I believe Imperial Naval Troopers are a guarantee. Who else will we see from the original movies (leaders and units)? Will Rogue One make it in?

Endor Pathfinders, sandtroopers, dewback riders, probe droids, Royal guards, rebel honor guard... The thing is though they have already thrown in the at-rt and the rebel troopers who, while they look similar to the endor Pathfinders, are not actually shown in the movies.

Great point! Personally I hope they do not strictly limit themselves to the Trilogy as seen in the movies. If we are lucky they will add the pathfinders and other Rogue One units. I heard that the first Imperial special forces will be scout snipers. I'm guessing the rebels will have similar snipers in the Endor Rangers variant.

I am pretty confident that we will see scout troopers with either a long range sniper ability or some sort of stealth ability. While I would like to see snipers for both sides, I imagine they will do something different for the rebel special forces. Maybe saboteurs or a closer combat unit?

One of the troop sculpts is actually almost identical to the bearded pathfinder. The only difference is the green paintjob otherwise they are the same. I wouldn't mind seeing a sniper or more elite unit of rebels though. Also I want to see a deployable E web that is kind of like the cadian weapon teams from 40k. Scout troopers on foot in a smaller more scout sniper esque unit would be nice too.

They've said that it's Galactic Civil War era, not just original trilogy. That will encompass everything from the Rebels TV show, various books and comics, Rogue One and Battlefront II and anything post Return of the Jedi up until the battle of Jakku.

I would love to see Inferno Squad!

Yup, me too.

I was thinking about it the other day, it would be cool if they released some civilian miniatures. Maybe a bunch of jedha pilgrims or imperial technicians so we could do hostage missions or "protect the civilians".

Yeah or some other random characters to create missions like rescue down pilots or capture a high value target (HVT).

They have mentioned the planet scariff in update articles. So Rogue One isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

Im really hoping to see AT-PTs . They were my favourite walker unit to blow up in star wars: rogue squadron.

Except the one mission where you needed to escort an AT-PT to safety!

Given they're already in IA, i'd say odds are better than average

My guess they'll push the Original Trilogy first before going to the well, using outside sources to fill a role when there's none available from the films.

Imperials: Sandtroopers, Non-bike Scouts, Navy Troopers, AT-DP, Royal Guards, Emperor, Probe Droids

Rebels: Hoth Troopers, landspeeder, Solo, Chewie, Hoth Turrets, Bespin Wing Guard

The big question is how deep into the well will they go for the Rebels. Imps have tons of different units, Rebels are a bit more hero based.

They are not, the ones in IA are AT-DPs, although they are basically the same thing, so I wouldn't be super surprised if they were added!:)

In Battlefront 2 on Tatooine uses Luke's landspeeder with a cannon attached.

The rebels did have some interesting vehicles in Star Wars Force Commander:

This could work, but I feel like it is a desert vehicle, and is also not very intimidating.

There is also the T2-B Repulsor tank

And the T4-B Heavy Tank, both from Empire at War

Also the MLC-3 light tankimage.jpeg.040c67e437117849ad265ccbde9f7eaf.jpeg

Freerunner for the win.

What about the occupier tank and ski speeders? There also is this obscure speeder from the battle of Hoth and cavalry for both rebels and empire: Drewback and TaunTaun riders (maybe with less specific names like Stormtrooper cavalry and rebel outsiders.). Deathtroopers, sentinel droids and probe droids would be cool too. We also (probably) have two versions of rebel Spec Ops: Pathfinders and Commandos. And finally there are the spaceships made for supporting ground warfare: The U-Wing and TIE Striker (Also the patrol gunship but that's a repulsor- not spacecraft).

Death.Troopers

that’s the one unit I care most about :D
