Growing up in the US, I never learned Dutch history so this movie is not only a great age of sail movie with interesting tactics, but educational.

Recommended for Armada players into naval and political history.

During the Dutch attack on the Royal Navy Dockyards at Chatham in June 1667 the Isle of Sheppey was also occupied by Dutch forces.

Sheppey is a marshy island in the estuary that rises no more than 2 feet above sea level.

But eventually the Dutch troops had to be withdrawn due to altitude sickness.

Is that the US title for the movie about De Ruyter?

It was pretty good, I recommend it.
