During a skill test i drew the "elder thing" token wich reads "-2, if u fail lose 2 resources".

I only have 1 resource am i able to play lucky?

The effects of the token are resolved in ST4 of the skill test timing sequence. Success or failure isn't determined until ST6, which is what triggers the ability to play Lucky. So you would have already lost your resource.

Yes sure so the token does not trigger since i have not still failled the test..

You play lucky! when you are determining success or failure but before the failure actually happens so yes you can play it.
