Hi guys!
So, it seems big news have come up here in Italy aswell, looks like we're going to have an official qualification tournament coming in around 1 month, the italian producer Asmodee is going to host a big event for all Star Wars table games (armada, x-wing, IA and so on).
At the moment i don't have any idea yet upon how many IA players are going to take part in this upcoming event, but for sure i want to partecipate and so i will! (i'm gonna take an entire holiday week from work to take my seat xD).
Unfortunately, i know i am not skilled enough to consider myself competitive, mainly because of the lack of players to play with and therefore the lack of skirmish game, although i really want to play so bad :|
Yet, i don't give up and i'm actually working upon some lists and ideas i would like y'all to take a look at and give your critique opinion on (lists coming shortly, just need the time to post them online and get the link to share).
Another thing i'd like to get your opinion on is: How many activations should each list have? and how many of those activations should be support-objectives only?
Thank you very much!
EDIT: Lists up! As stated in my first comment, i'm sticking with Imperial lists since it's what i like most to play
List 1: Imperial Brawlers

List 2: Elite Troopers

List 3: The Grand Hunt

Prepearing for Tournament
The number of activations will vary depending on how many big hitters you have, but 6-8 is a good. And support points will vary. In Rebel lists (and, lol, a lot of Merc lists), you’ll see Gideon, 3PO, Hera, and then maybe an Alliance Smuggler and/or Rebel High Command, so that’s a fair chunk of points.
Check out the Regional Lists thread and you can see which lists are out there and how they’re doing. Then just go with what you like best.
Also, to get better you should check out Vassal. You can play people all over the world, including the two-time World Champion, and definitely sharpen your game.
Good luck at your tourney! In bocca lupo!

I honestly play Imperial Lists mainly and scums eventually, it's very rare for me to play rebels, so i think i'm going to stick with my preferences ![]()
As for the lists, yeah i find useful to get more than 7 activations on rebel lists, mainly because rebels activations usually have 1 figure each, but as for the imperial lists it's really really hard to get more than 6 (or 7 if you really save points on many things), that's why i feel concerned about that :/

(You missed two letters, it's -> In bocca "al" lupo)
Wow! where did you learn that?
Usually foreigners with no clue of our tongue don't know how to wish luck, they just goes around with "pizza", "pasta" and the most common worldwide words XD
Why thank you! Of course i shall give a complete report of the tournaments scores and reesults!
Congrats on getting a tourney! Thats great.
The first list i would drop the royal guards and take another set of jet troopers. They have more damage output and utility than the royal guards. Fit in overrun command card for sure, and i would play unshakable in that list to help vader clear selfinflicted stuns from parting blow. Maybe drop rally and get officers training or anothet strong 1 point card. After that the list is pretty good- maybe test it a few times and tweak a few command cards.
I like the theme of dewback swarm, but i dont think it keeps up in the damage race now. If you have sentry droids i would switch the dewbacks out for one group of those- they just bring so much more to the table imo. Also maybe put in another movement card since you have no officers in this list for palpatine. I prefer to always have one officer but that isnt a requirement by any means.
I love the quiz and i have played him a bit but i think he is subpar. I like the first 2 lists better overall even though this one has my boi Onar ? i think the potential here is strong but the quiz has swingy defense and bt1 has a swingy attack so consistency may kill you with this list
Just a few thoughts to get discussion going. Cheers!
I have to say i haven't thought about Unshakable for Vader, that's really interesting!
As for swapping RG with JT, i would lose the benefits from brawlers command cards if i only had 2 bralwer activations. Jets are definitely the best non unique damaging unit, but then i might get into trouble with my command deck.
I tend to build lists with the most same traits, in order to being able to play command cards in the best moment with no issue if i lose figures (1st list -> brawlers, 2nd list -> Troopers + Creatures, 3rd list -> hunters), but your mention with Unshakable alone is enough to make me think to some tweaks to that fight club list!
EDIT: since i wanted to keep the brawler trait, i swapped the RG with a second unit of eRiot (they cost 7 aswell so i managed to add Unshakable aswell) and i tweaked the command deck in order to fit in Reinforcements since their reinf. cost is 3! (they might be useful, gotta try that out, but definitely they deal way more damage than the RGs). I swapped Rally for Officers Training aswell, since i've got Unshakable now, i was thinking to add fleet footed even though i have looking for a fight already, but the fact that i may draw 1 card helps a lot, especially with Zillo.

Looks nice to me- i havent run the riots yet except maybe once so idk how good they are from personal experience. One last card I would consider is dark energy- combined with vader and parting blow it can be pretty devastating for your opponent

Sono stato a Padova per cinque mesi. ? Also, looks like a fun list! I would try to fit in Squad Swarm if you can (maybe swap with a Parting Blow). And Fleet Footed is nice when you’re running Pummel, but that’s a matter of preference.

Wow, just Wow! I live not far from Padova, so if you plan to take a visit we might even catch up once! ?
As for the list, there are so many good cards and combos i could do that i don't know which one to make, i'll have to test them all i guess ?
