By tsuruki, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

A rules clarification question.

Can other investigators perform the actions to remove straitjackets from you?

Yes. Investigators can trigger action abilities on encounter cards at their location and encounter cards in your threat area are also considered to be at that location.

You should just rip those cards up. 2 actions to remove, plus you lose the actions for equipment, usually 2, plus you lose the resources for equipment. So for a gun and a flashlight for instance you're losing 4 actions and 6 resources. This is almost the worst card in the game, only a couple super boss monsters are as bad.

That's the nature of the game. It isn't Adventures in Rainbow Land where scenarios are simple. This Arkham Horror where just about the whole universe is against you.

Try an event deck. Sefina didn't have too much trouble despite being jacketed the whole scenario. I have a feeling survivors and seekers would be alright too. Mystics with event spells like storm of spirits are great.

Mystics are the ones who care the least, because their main slots are arcane (spells never take up hands). Guardians are hit the hardest, because they need their hands. For the other classes, it depends mostly on the build.
