Sure, it's not a new product announcement or FAQ update, but still something handy for players entering the regional season for the first time.

I love that they subtitled it "prepare for the system open" like anyone going to that tournament would get anything out of an incredibly beginner article.
I do hope some new/young player will get some use out of it.
Found the error(s) already. even though they reference the changes made to the Jumpmaster later in the article, all other cards referenced have the "old" text...Biggs, Manaroo...

References made in the article to Manaroo and Biggs were in regards to prenerf versions of both. I'd hardly call those errors.

I don't think that it's an incredibly beginner article.
I wouldn't bother new players with "meta" information at all, and in fact I would actively discourage new players to concern themselves at all with the meta. It's information that new players aren't prepared to process effectively, or respond to correctly when designing lists.
It's a good article for players dipping their toes into the competitive scene for the first time, but it's mostly just noise to new players.

Ok, I can agree with that. I guess my point was more that I'd be surprised if a System Open was someone's first event. Then again, parts of that article could be useful when making the jump from local to regional play.

Ok, then what about Palp, Crack shot, Atatnni mindlink?....theres always at least an error in these articles. Im not saying it detracts from the content, but just pointing them out

Oh definitely, there's always one! I also enjoy pointing them out. Though I'm not sure what's wrong with the cards you referenced.

@Brunas often says „I agree“. Maybe he does?
I know I don‘t
(edit: just in case, that comment about Brunas was partially tongue in cheek, partially because he clearly qualifies as a good player and would be in a position to answer whether the article is incredibly beginner)

I love that I'm getting corrected on my perception of my own article. No sarcasm.
I get it, I retract my statement. Not beginner, but maybe new competitive players. Whatever you want to call them. My point was it is likely targeted more at people going to local kit tournaments and thinking about what they need to do to make that next step.

Honestly, I think these articles are never mindblowing or introducing a completely new idea. But they often have many points that are worth repeating, and these points are definitely worth to get recognition in a more official setting like such as these articles.
I know I learned something from your article, and I got reminded of ideas I heard on podcasts or read here and there over the years. Specifically, I take away the reminder that mixing regionals from all over the world can be misleading. In that sense: good job! Also no sarcasm.

Thanks! I appreciate it. Glad players are getting some good use out of it, new and old.
An article announcing how a nerf we all knew about what, 9 months ago or so and had hoped for over a year, would shake up the meta is even worth publishing at this point?

I feel like you may have missed the point. Any mention of specific metas was purely anecdotal. The concepts apply to any meta big or small.
Not a 101$ article ? Shame !
Whatever, the Nerf Herders will still call for the removal of the Top 4(or 8).
More Nerfratas to come, we need to remove turrets from the game completely, I'm tired of noobs keeping me from winning with TIE interceptors as any skilled player would fly.

indication of copious amounts of sarcasm.

Without the anecdotes the article basically boils down to: This is what a Meta is, your group has a meta, all other groups have a meta, neither of those metas will be the worlds meta, fly accordingly.
I didn't mind the article but when it's instead of an xwing announcement, and dated, and meant for new players... there is only so much enjoyment I can get from it.

I can relate to that, even I was sad to see it when I was hoping for either a wave announcement or an FAQ drop that day.
