How do Harpoons "rob your agency"? You can still arc dodge them. You still get to roll green dice against them and modify those green dice. Harpoons make primary firing arcs matter again.

Harpoons are just a little overpowered for their cost, but combined with the rest its like sprinkles on an NPE Sundae.

Sundae, not Sunday

Imperial only regen that can get multiple shields/hull back at a small cost.

That should keep the noise down from a few of us.

I would not listen to this rumor.

It's exactly what they did for the ships from TFA, and since playtesting would need to be done over a year in advance of the movie, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same situation.

If you just look at the paper insert that comes in every expansion, you’d know.

Tossed mine awhile ago, so I’ll take your word for it.

From my perspective, it looks like the shotgun approach. They're bound to hit (get) something right. They nerf Biggs to once per game then release Harpoons that seriously hamper tight formations. To me it looks like two different people, without any communication, are doing the upgrades and errata. When I saw Trajectory Simulator the first thing I thought of was Genius and Nym and I'm a lousy squad builder. If my old brain made that connection what's that say for the devs?

To your question. Against a competent player with missile boats and LRS coupled with a full modded attack dodging arcs is difficult. Green dice are going to abandon you when needed most, hence the term "fickle green dice". If the latest scuttlebutt is true about the interaction of TLT and Harpoons, then the combo of turretted ship's and missile carriers is definitely going to be an NPE.

The situation reminds me of a boss I once worked for. "We'll fix it in the field" was a favorite saying. That's what this feels like. The devs push out the product and the players do the play testing.

Duplicate post.

That's the problem with using the players as playtesters. We don't approach the game objectively. Our comments and opinions are very subjective based on our favorite builds and how we use them. If we had serious input on errata and card interactions, this game would be dead in six months or less.

I'm emphasizing agency robbing as a part of the whole, not a symptom of every item on the list.

Or "ain't got much agency when yer ded."

Only real problem I have with poons is the facedown damage cars on the triggered ship pushes poon damage to the nth degree and makes it nigh guaranteed that you'll wipe out lower ps ships before they get to do jack
