Early morning warning

One thing to think about. It's the most efficient Defensive Retrofit vs Boarding Team Avenger....ECM and AP do nothing when you have no defense tokens to spend and RBD only works if you live...

Yup. Gives Landonition a pretty decent chance to live, actually. Of course by that point you're looking at a solid 90-100 points on a small ship, depending on the build, sooo... For what that's worth. :)

I've been flying 100 point shrimp since Wave 2 :)

How do you cut out 10 points of useless fat on an MC30S?

Take an MC30T instead.

I'll be here all night folks.

Yeah but at that point whats its effective health start to look like? Because in certain situations I bet that number starts getting silly.

Matt gets it.

Before the TRC nerf those savings came at a tradeoff of a significantly reduced threat radius and a lower damage floor.

Oh believe me, I'm totally on board with that build. Just pointing out that others will inexplicably object to a small ship that requires 9 points of damage post-Lando to one-shot-- with no defense tokens.

****, it's not gonna be terribly uncommon that I'm parking that thing at speed zero and flipping some birds because why not .

Useless fat he says, lol. All of the ship kill sillouttes painted on the sides of my Mc30s would disagree with you. ;)

Although for the record, I really do enjoy the way you have yours built out. I just enjoy being able to kill big ships without losing anything in return so much. And I'm too cheap to buy 4 Mc30s. :D

Just hope you don't face any Gauntlet Spam. MC30s without Nav Commands are vulnerable things that have a much harder time getting those all-important dual-arc close range shots lined up. Though Mothma will help some in trying to avoid "hit" results from the gauntlets.

No she wont. Spend the die happens before defence tokens.

Although how much gauntlet spam is really going to be out there?

Comms Net Nav token will fix that problem quickly.

Also great vs those 4 black die demolisher shots where you can brace anyway.. it's a great card.. in most cases it is on par or better than ecm, (barring being short ranged by an ISD front), but not always.. options are good.

FInally found a good defensive retro for Devastator as well... ECM is good for if you keep the brace around (almost always a good idea)- but if you are going all out with the title and burn off all tokens you will still get good usage out of EWS, whereas ECM would become 7 empty points

Why did you have to go and ruin this nice upgrade by introducing it to that nasty ship?

My first question when internalizing a new spoiled card: "what are the ramifications for the MC30?" :)

Except: ECM helps you burn those tokens that would be targeted by accuracy results, so there's a trade-off between defence and attack efficacy. Given that Devastator is an expensive title, you're probably building around it and want it to work.

Options are good though. :)

Barring Vader!

It will help big-time vs. Sloane fleets. So glad my opponent hasn't fielded Sloane in a battle (yet).

Really, your opponent hasnt used sloane yet?

I suppose each to his own. My opponent used sloane as soon as possible after release lmao

Shhh! My opponent has eyes and ears everywhere! He's an Imperial, after all :D

We both play for fun, and get in a couple games a wave. So there's no meta per se with us, but i'm forced to constantly update my battle tactics. What works well one time will get me killed the next. Keeps me on my toes, though.

It's a meta call for EWS vs ECM.

As for how I'd use EWS, it's based on how the ship flies. A forward-facing ISD is going to stick it on the front to avoid getting hit in the largest arc. Then as it speeds away, stick it on the rear.A ship that wants broadsides will probably just leave it on the exposed side.arc. until it distances itself from the engagement.
