Can you explain a little further what you want? From this post I am getting mixed messages and I will explain why.
Willpower is a characteristic that a player character or non-player character has that determines the dice they roll for certain skill checks. One cannot mod a lightsaber hilt to give their character a higher willpower, because a lightsaber is an object, which would not have an affect on a person's willpower.

Well mainly i know that objects can be used to increase characteristics with cybernetics being a good foil for brawn and agility, and thought that modding a lightsaber or its crystal would be a good foil for willpower or presence, arguably the most common chracteristics of a force user light or dark, and wanted to see if it was possible
Currently not, who knows what the Mystic book will bring with the Alchemist
Cybernetics are the only items that increase Characteristics, and currently not even all of them. Cybernetic arms can give you more Strength or Agility (by being built stronger or faster than your original organic limbs), cybernetic legs can increase your Agility (being built faster than your original organic legs), Borg Implants can increase your Intelligence (by implanting a supercomputer directly into your brain), but that's it so far (that I'm aware of).
Most lightsaber mods and crystals are found in the core Force and Destiny rulebook, though each Force And Destiny supplement adds a few more. Lightsaber Construction rules are best found in Endless Vigil, which allow you to spend Advantage and Triumph to add various upgrades to the hilt you make, but none of these have a direct effect on a character's Characteristics.
I made a point of telling my players, when we switched to this system, that Characteristics can only be bought at character creation, not increased through XP during normal play, and the main way to increase them was the Dedication talent in bottom row of almost every single published talent tree, and thus to make sure their Characteristics were as close to where they wanted them for the character's entire career at character creation.

It's a great character generator program that has all the rules coded into it. You can experiment there with the various equipment rules, adding attachments and mods, and even crafting gear (though without access to the various rulebooks its based on, some systems will be more difficult to understand). But it handles all the "math" on its own behind-the-scenes, so you can get a feel for what things actually do. That might help you get a grasp on the mechanics, seeing the end results and working backwards through how they came to be that way.
