Was flying ghost with kanan In the shuttle behind. Ghost gets ioned and stressed in same turn. Does a Kanan clear the stress even though there is no movement dial revealed. The Ghost is assigned a white straight 1? I tried to search for an answer but didn't see one. Opinions seem mixed on the web. Went ahead and cleared the stress but wasn't sure. I can we it both ways.
Kanan jarrus and ions
If he's equipped to the shuttle then he cannot be used until the shuttle is deployed. If he's on the table already, then as long as he's within range he can remove the stress token. He can even do it if he's equipped to the Ghost, because his text doesn't specify "another" friendly ship and a ship can be friendly to itself and withing Range 1-2 in this circumstance.

Sorry forgot to mention the shuttle was deployed. I thought that was right at the time but later wasn't so sure.
thanks

The key is, Kanan is only checking for a white maneuver to be executed. He doesn't care about a dial reveal. And when a ship is ioned, it has to execute a white maneuver, and will thus trigger any ability that may require said white maneuver, including Kanan's.

I wasn't sure if there was a difference between "reveal a manueuver" and "asssign a maneuver" in this instance

There is a difference, but Kanan only wants you to "execute a maneuver".

There's more than a few things within this game that can be quite subtle and easily overlooked. Keywords are important and when you don't know them, it can be quite confusing. In the early days it was quite simple, but now with each new wave, there's an ever-increasing degree of complexity.
I've been playing for years, and I still have to look at some of these things more than once to figure them out.

This very much.
It also doesn't help that newer cards sometimes use different language from older ones to describe the same thing.
