and I concocted this. Kagi makes the defenders immune to LRS. Hot-Cop is there to beat Deadeye boats and make life hard for Poe.

Is it too much of a gamble?

HSCP is nice. Tie/D problems have always been lack of mods which is why Vessery is usually the only successful Tie/D and why I had Fleet Officer in my original version. HSCP ain’t bad since you’re taking away their defensive mods so naked dice versus naked dice. Also, if you give up Ion Cannon on Kagi and put Countermeasures on that would be kinda hilarious. Sensor Jammer is another idea too.

There are some more ways for Ion effects for Imperials now. Some thoughts are Aggressors and Gunboats.

You lose kagi or a delta on the initial joust due to the proton bomb + either single or double harpoon. Kagi likely gets 1 or 2 shots during the whole game just like every other space cow so copilot just doesn't make sense IMO.

I dig the idea, but it is true that those Deltas lack mods. I have flown against this before, and it is very strong. Yes, it doesn't have the Kagi ability, but it is still a tempting target:

Jonus provides rerolls and focuses while also stripping focuses before the deltas.

You're still loosing the PS battle vs. NymRanda. The chacnes that the shuttle lives thru the first pass are pretty slim if you go for a joust.

You can't lose a Delta, Kagi takes the locks due to pilot ability.

Kagi might die (opponent would need to Max out his dice while losing a shield from Miranda to get the extra die on her missiles). But he still shoots at least once and the end result is both ships ionized and half of Miranda gone. Turn 2 you kill Miranda and re-ionize Nym. Then, you can K turn behind Nym and chain ionized him.

Fine with this trade, it gets defenders to the end game vs 2 ionized bombers. PS8 is enough to get simultaneous fire vs Miranda.

Are all the Nym/Miranda lists LRS only? I'd be tempted to take 3 Nu's with Kagi..

Uh....if they aren't taking LRS, they can absolutely wreck a Delta. Nym always takes chips and Miranda is 50/50 for if she takes chips or LRS.

If they use chips, you just bring Kagi in at the same time. He might die, but gets to fire at least once and will require both missiles and that Miranda spend a shield.
