Scum list

What do you think

Fenn Rau

-concord dawn protector

- expertise

Denegar

- fearlessness

- K4 security droid

Trandoshan Slaver

- 4-lom

I think PTL would be much better on Fenn. He also DEMANDS AT. You will probably have to downgrade something else, but that's okay.

With K4, Dengar with Expertise is the bomb.com. He also REALLY wants Punishing One.

That means you can't fit the slaver; basically, you'd be down to a Z. However, your Fenn and Dengar are SO MUCH more viable.

Punishing One is a must have

Hrm. Off the top, I think Fenn really needs Autothrusters (AT). Expertise probably isn't as good as something like Push the Limit, where you'll have a good deal more flexibility, or Fearlessness (if you don't have two copies, I'd just proxy).

I don't think Dengar is completely terrible without the Punishing One title, but that title is really nice. Fearlessness is interesting. You've got a big ship which can move fairly well at high PS, and can get in someone's face. I'm almost doubting K4 Security Droid, however. With the title, it's great. Very, very hard to pass up on Dengar. If you're skipping the title, having a free TL on 2 dice is a lot less promising. I'm going to throw out an idea which is really crazy. Navigator. This will allow you to adjust your speed. Having that extra element of control will make it easier to line up those R1 shots for Fearlessness.

4-LOM will need to be trimmed from the Trandoshan, however. A naked Trandoshan has a lot of HP and a pretty wide arc with 3 dice, so it's not terrible. I don't think the list will be that strong, but I think it'd be interesting to play, to feel out why it isn't too strong.

Another option would be to keep the well-built Fenn Rau (Push the Limit, CDP title, Autothrusters) and bring both a naked Trandoshan Slaver and a Contracted Scout with the Punishing One title, and a 0 point Elite upgrade. Trick Shot and Adaptability would probably be best. I suppose the new 0-point Courier Droid crew could be placed on both ships (again, proxy them and fly casual), so the whole list could deploy at PS 8 and 9. Taking a PS3 generic Jumpmaster with the title is probably as strong or stronger than taking Dengar without the title.

Fenn and Dengar are kind of a tricky pair. Fenn is a 32 to 34 point ship. Dengar, who really probably should have the title, is more of a 48-52 point ship baseline, maybe can be stretched to like 57. Having only around 15 points for a 3rd ship is kind of awkward. Single Z-95s or Scyks don't really seem to accomplish much these days. I feel like the points don't really work out too well. Fenn kinda wants to be in a 3-ship list (maybe a 4 ship, if there is ever a good-enough Scum ship at around 20-22 points), and Dengar mostly like a 2-ship build (both around the 50 points range, but Dengar + 2 ships around 23-24 points might work, if there are ships worth taking in that price range).
