So for the first time since I was a kid I fired up a GameCube and took a stab at the old Rogue Squadron games and had an absolute blast flying as Wedge, Luke and Vader (bonus missions), and I got to thinking how some of the things I noticed in game could be incorporated into X-wing Miniatures to help some of the old standbys, especially for the Empire.
1)All TIE models could use Bullseye
The TIEs in Rogue Squadron may not be the best pilots but when they have you dead to rights they'll chew right through you (Strike at the Core took me forever to beat). Bullseye makes them much more potent if they can line you up and gives them an offensive boost against larger ships.
2)+1 hull for TIE Interceptors
The Interceptors in Rogue Squadron are just a bit harder to kill than the TIE Fighters due to more health and agility. While the agility is down pat, I wonder if giving the Interceptor +1 HP would be a good change for the ship to make it competitive.
3)TIE Bombers need evade/2 mod slots/unique, unlimited bomb/reload/
something
The TIE Bombers in Rogue Leader are fast, agile ships that can drop lots and lots of bombs and fire rockets. Now, I think the Unguided Rockets from the Aggressor are a good representation of the latter, but the former could have a special, TIE only bomb that does a small amount of damage without requiring you to discard it. That, combined with 2 mod slots (which opens up the Bomber to take LWF and MCK II engines) and an evade makes the Bomber a cheap bomber and missile platform that becomes harder to kill.
These are just my own impressions, I'm interested to see what others think (whether you played the games or not).
