I played a proxy game with something similar to this last night and the amount of damage it can put out is bonkers with Vader. I smacked an opposing isd out of commission in two turns and a QF as well.

So I looked at this after shooting you the message.... easier to post it here I figured. This is what I was kinda figuring. Same bid, maybe equal effectiveness? I don't know, get's dicey with those last 20pts or so.

So I’ve run it a few more times and I’m loving the list- a bit of a bummer i only have 6 deployments, but speed 3 and all that red dice helps me adjust pretty quickly.

Only thing I’m torn on is EWS on the flagship or the other ISD- I’d like to keep Vader safe, but I also am usually throwing the other one up in people’s grill so that they have to deal with it, so a little extra protection could go a long way for it

I would throw it on the one your putting in people’s face. Any Sloan builds will have a tough time getting any fire through in the initial engagement

Made up another version that is possibly more balanced/well rounded, but less cool cause well, it’s not double cymoons...

@MandalorianMoose, I worry that the Kuat squadron rating is too low for an effective BT/Avenger platform.

Have you had success with it?

Wouldn't a Strategic Adviser be better on your Avenger than the Support Officer?
I also support keeping Kuats cheap in these dual ISD fleets and would strip it down to just ECM/ACM with the officer.
Maybe throw hardened bulkheads on both with the savings.

Support Officer = Stand in for Adviser, until the builder updates,

It’s still very effective.... if you shoot the target even once that round before Avenger they most likely will use a token or two, then all you need to do is flip the brace and other redirect

Latest iteration, and potentially the one I’ll be taking tomorrow... drops squads for another activation, and with strat Advisor I’m up to 6 activations- hopefully that’s enough to avoid too much squad combat until I can nuke the carriers?

Activation Order is more important with this version than just running Intel Officer on both, but between suppressor and avenger I’m hoping it’s not missed and I get more utility out of the pass... thoughts?

Thats a pretty scarily padded fleet. The scariest thing about cymoons with spinal is that 6 dice at long range. You could pop small ship easily

Yup- that’s the appeal of the fleet. If anything that isn’t very beefy/tanky comes into range of those guns they’re done for. I’ve popped activation padding flotillas from downtown frequently, cr90’s or hammerheads can get one shotted, and even MC30s can be in trouble if they end up in range of both of them. Vader to get those sweet rerolls brings it all together

Does the fleet want second of first? I can see both as working.

Both are fine honestly. First can help with avoiding getting triple tapped or blown away by a large volley as he lack of ECM hurts, but second really helps me as far as deployments go, as I am almost always out deployed and having objectives that force people out come at me helps. In that vein I’ve considered swapping MW for station assault, but MW is just such a safe choice, and adding even more reds to the cymoons is just brutal
