So, Our club does three round mini tournaments once a month and it’s encouraged (but not required) that we take a break from hardcore tournament lists and fly something a little different.
its been a while since i’ve flown Nien Nunb in his t-70, or indeed anyone except Poe and Jess. I did try a triple t-70 squad again but it felt a little lacklustre and points are very tight. This is 1-1 so far and I quite like how it flies, but I’m looking for ideas to tweak.
Quote
•Fenn Rau (23) - Sheathipede-class Shuttle
Veteran Instincts (1), Inspiring Recruit (1), •"Chopper" (1), •Phantom II (0), Guidance Chips (0)•Poe Dameron (41) - T-70 X-Wing
Intensity (2), •BB-8 (2), Primed Thrusters (1), •Black One (1), Autothrusters (2)•Nien Nunb (36) - T-70 X-Wing
Rage (1), •R3-A2 (2), Pattern Analyzer (2), Autothrusters (2)
in its original form Fenn had adaptability and Nien had Experimental Interface, but I thought that with a coordinator in the squad that was less necessary.
My specification was to be stress-resistant. Nunb is very resistant at R1, and as he probably moves first in a knife fight these days he can Rage to his heart’s content. On the approach he can too, thanks to IR and PA (dial green move, PA, Rage, lose 2 stress). Intensi-Poe with PT can suffer some stress too, so stressbots are not a huge problem. Fenn can Regen, Poe is Poe, and Nien can dish out modded R1 stress causing attacks so there is a little doubt in the target priority, and black one annoys missile carriers.
options that spring to mind.
1) Blue Ace with FAA and AT clocks in at 31 points freeing up 5-10 points. 2 would ‘upgrade’ Poe to R2D2, VI, Optics but what to do with the other three? Bid? Seismic torps? You tell me.
2) downgrade Poe to PS8. Frees 2 points to upgrade PT to AO and give Nien back his EI, freeing up Fenn’s action, or give Poe R2D2, AO, VI.
3) swap Fenn for Ezra and move the stressbot. Might need to swap down to Blue Ace to afford this one, I haven’t costed it yet.
4) give the x-wings Vectored Thrusters to allow them to arc dodge at PS11 thanks to Fenn.
Anyway, ideas always appreciated.
