RHO RHO MISSILE BOATS

So I flew this at Systems open, and had a lot of fun with it. I REALLY like the action economy of the Rho's. At the beginning I would fly the Rho's behind the Lambda, use the Lambda to bump/ keep people at 2-3. Hux with the tractor was super fun. guaranteed hit if a focus was rolled, so I wasn't overly worried about doing too much to modify lambda rolls, I'd just give him the focus like everyone else with Hux, give the lambda the condition "Fanatical Devotion." I could hit, roll him back to range 2 if I wanted to tactician, or rock, or target someone to reduce their agility for double full mod harpoon volley. I'm not completely sold on Yorr as the support. I like the ability since all 3 ships are PS 4's. which was quite useful. just curious about other people's thoughts. I've been playing with the Idea of scratching Hux and bouncing to Kylo and Mangler, so I can fight against some of those PS fighters/maybe kill an attack once in a while, other kiccups that ISYTDS can deal. another thought was maybe upgrade the missles to ION's and give the lambda the flechette cannon to kill opponent actions. anybody tried some of this. I really like the missile boats, not as big of a fan of gunboats.

So those are 100% my favorite Rhos. Love those guys. Excellent choice.

I don't really think you need Yorr. Those Rho's aren't super likely to get stressed. I mean, it could be good insurance against Stressbots and Tactician Auzis, but that's somewhat situational.

Hux is a superb choice, and the synchronicity with Tractor Beam/Fanatical Devotion is excellent.

Honestly, the list itself seems very strong. However, you c o u l d upgrade to a Cpt. Kagi to protect your boats, dropping TacJam and Tactician. Just an option.

They're getting stressed from push tho?

This list looks super gnarly. I am going to try it. The only change I would make would be to remove the Tactical Jammer and Advanced Sensors in favor of Engine Upgrade and Collision Detector. This will give the Lambda more mobilty, and maneuver options so that it can keep up with your slamming ships, and not spend 3 turns turning around after the alpha strike. You can also use Debris Fields, which synergizes well with Yorr if your ships need to fly thru the Debris Fields, and Collision Detector. Yup......I'm definitely going to try this. I kinda like the Yorr/Rho/Rho combo (mama bear and her cubs!), but I don't know if I love the Hux/Tactician/Jammer combo. Part of me says I'd rather just have Emperor Palpatine. Maybe run Reinforced Deflectors or Sensor Jammer in the System slot.

Seems like a cool list archetype overall.

So the reason I really liked Yorr, was the PS4. I never really used his actual skill, but being able to do Hux before, OR after the others moved did make some differences. it allowed me to make sure I spread the tokens far more effectively. I found it was an excellent bumper boat in the process for some of those obnoxious people to make sure the kept the range needed for my RHO boats. My favorite was to approach with the Lambda in the front, the two Rho's right behind the Lambda, Then when some of those annoying Harpoon Alpha's came in, I'd use Lamdba ability first, then I'd use the Hard three right for the Rho Behind, on the right hand side, followed by the SLAM hard left. vice versa for the other one. It ended up with me having three ships in a line, and more than 1 range apart so I didn't take splash damage, using the auto hit tractor on something and blasting away with Harps. I could cut tactician points, but I wouldn't touch advanced sensors while still using Hux, tactical Jammer didn't get much use, but I might consider the bump Boat use for him and go to anti-pursuit or ion projector. That could be fun since you know where your opponent would be for a nice line up.

Hm, that does sounds like a rather versatile functionality!
