It doesn't bug me, I stopped caring about community reputation once I learned there's no magic secret decoder ring after 1000 likes (actually, TBH, I don't think I ever really cared about it)... just trying to figure out this new system.

I feel like the confused emoji should be a positive thing. Most of Major Juggler's Matlab posts leave me in a sort of confused awe.

Edit: weird, the "haha" response doesn't add to your reputation either... I think Mr. Clinton-Dix would be very displeased.

Figured it out. None of the emoji count as likes, only the heart and the trophy. So FFG assumes we'd mean the laugh as "laughing at you", not "laughing with you", the sad face as "your post made me sad because you're dumb" rather than "your post made me sad because I feel sorry for you and want to console you", and the confused face to mean "you're confusing me with your stupidity" rather than "I am in awe of your intelligence". They assumed we're all horrible and mean-spirited trolls...

So they do read these forums after all!

I know what I'll be doing for the remainder of the week.

The heart is too associated with "love" due to FB. It could be altered to something that show agreement without going so far as overwhelming support.

I think the "Thanks" is a great way to respond when someone just answers a question you have or otherwise solves a problem.

I'm not sure the "Haha" should be seen as good or bad. On one hand it can be laughing along with something trying to be comedic then there is also the sarcastic side of that which really isn't all that nice.

Confused is interesting as a way to get reactions that implies something is wrong.

Sad is good because there are just so many things we shouldn't be happy to see. Maybe not so much here but we still see them. I guess this could also stand in for the basic anger reactions as you are upset with someones comment about something.
