I don't frequent here as I'm more of a painting guy but,

Can the Phantom II docking into the Ghost? I am hesitant to buy one if it cannot.

From a game mechanics point, yes, the Phantom II comes with a pair of titles that allow it to 'dock' with the Ghost, granting it a coordinate action rather than a double-tap.

From a physical model standpoint, not without heavy modding, and possibly not even then.

I am modding the Ghost right now to docking the Phantom, and if I am to get the Phantom II, I will try!

Thanks for the response, I did not know about the title card that comes with it. Now I may just have to pick up one.....

You get a Phantom II title card and a new Ghost title card in the Phantom II expansion. The new Ghost card is the same as the old one with the exception of explicitly naming the Phantom II instead of the old Phantom.
