If they give us a speeder bike I think they should make it not only fast, but to where it MUST move every turn - or something to give the feeling of it being so fast that it takes a lot of skill to control it.

Impossible! FFG doesn't read the forums!

I'm pretty sure compulsory movement was the x wing miniature game's idea...

Rick! when did you get here?

I'm merely here to claim the glory. While this game looks amazing, I've had to stop playing Imperial Assault because of time restraints so there's really no chance of me playing this game.

Maybe that's where I got it... NO! It was MY idea! :-)

Which is why I haven't even opened my Heart of the Empire box (along with Maul, Asoka, and Palp).

Boba Rick, I know the feeling! :) Inspired by Rogue One, I re-started wargaming Star Wars in January 2016 and made up ground combat rules that used the X-wing dice for attack/defence and which had criticals needed to damage armour targets (unless you firing a heavy weapon) and lo, the game designers are using the same idea (to judge by the AT-ST article). Our thought-waves are obviously inspiring these guys :D

40k has compulsory movement with flyers, it's a pretty standard trope in miniature games. But nice call, speeders would seem silly just hovering in one place.

Sorry Rick but compulse move comes right from Dust Warfare were planes had to move in a straight line 12" In Legion it looks like your compulse move also allows you to turn interesting

Obvious troll is obvious....?

I know this at least existed in Battlefleet Gothic in like... 1980...
