Let's Build a List: Maul

It's actually stronger than expected, i played 3 games just for fun at Jabba's Palace against meta decks, and i actually won them all :o
Maul is actually really good at contesting objectives, especially when using Wreak Vengeance or when attacking by being already focused (which is the same thing), normally his strikes deal consistent damage and with cleave 2 you just gain so much positioning advantage for that objective, while on the other hand Obi-Wan just says "Nope." to all of those small/medium figures who actually wanna contest.
That duo, what a perfect team :P

I'd swap Wreak Vengeance for Change of Plans (switch an unactivated, full damage Maul for Kenobi, or switch a one pirate group for another 2 pirate activation, or get 2 focuses from Threepio or Gideon, or get 2 attacks from a Jawa).

huh. the eJawa is a leader and could re-tap Gideon... that could be fun

Yup, i'd tweak a few things aswell, especially after having actually played 3 games, yet i wanted to try it out for fun and it actually works really good.
You should give it a try aswell if you wanna bring it to the regionals, we might give birth to a new meta if this list gets the high ground -_-

Gol-dangit now there are 3 lists I want to try and nowhere near enough time to give each the tests they deserve.

I hear ya. My head is starting to spin with all of the different lists I want to try. The skirmish game is super healthy right now. :P

Played the Vader/Palp/Maul/Onar/2x Officers yesterday, 3 games against Sentries and Jets. I won all 3 by bum rushing them, taking a shot or two on the way in, then annihilating them in close combat.

I found that Maul's ideal place is as the second string. Here's very easy to focus and kill, but if there are greater threats he can strike with impunity as the greater threats absorb the damage. Definitely an intriguing list that I'll have to practice some more.

Thats a sweet list. How do you like Onar with Palp?

It's pretty crazy. I especially liked when I got to use the Emperor with New Orders to give an entire activation to Onar. Believe it or not, Onar adds a lot of range to the "Emperor" ability, especially when compared to his companions Maul and Vader.

After playing a few more games with the Imperial Maul, that's what I'm bringing. The ability to concentrate so much Firepower is insane, and more importantly it is a lot of fun to play. Updates after tomorrow's tournament.
