Does anyone have the statistics on this? Either from Warlords (or another builder) or from tournaments? I know we have the assumptions of which are "best," but I am looking for 1) what is used most often and 2) what wins.
Most Used and Least Used Objectives
Ask @PartyPotato for an update, or @Baltanok for regional data.

Ugh...here's to hoping we get a red strategic objective one day..
And don't say targeting bacon!

I'll have me some bacon, yes. Beacons not so much :/
Did someone say bacon? .....
Not where I expected this post to go, but can't say that I am disappointed.
There is a page of objective data in the Regional data spreadsheet. Obviously, the results there are only representative high level competitive play but this is what it shows currently:

- Station Assault - 7%
- Opening Salvo - 4%
- Precision Strike - 4%
- Blockade Run - 1%
- Close Range Intel Scan - 1%
- Targeting Beacons - 1%
Yellow
- Contested Outpost - 34%
- Planetary Ion Cannon - 17%
- Fire Lanes - 15%
- Hyperspace Assault - 13%
- Fighter Ambush - 7%
- Capture the VIP - 3%
- Fleet Ambush - 3%
- Jamming Barrier - 1%
Blue

It happens more often then you would think...
I’ve been meaning to get and post the latest data from Warlords and revisit my old article series but life has a way of not letting you focus on what’s truly important.
No promises that this will happen anytime soon but I’ll look to try and get back into posting something interesting from Warlords on a monthly basis.
The regional doesn’t surprise me. We’ve got about four objectives in each color that are reasonable and which can reliably be built toward. Then the rest...

This is the biggest thing I disagree with in the group think.
I agree that if you build lists with x activations, y deployments, z upgrades and alpha upgrades that there are few viable upgrades.
I do not believe this to be true.

You're just full of these today. I like it.

It's not a zen-like saying, either. The idea of a local vs global minimum has implications in machine learning.

And machine learning is entirely akin to group think, so highly appropriate.

Would you agree that certain styles of play have access to more beneficial objectives across the color range? As in squadron lists have more and better of options because of strategic?

Define 'squadron lists', is that a list with 134pts in squadrons or a list that contains a strategic unit? Because they arent the same thing.
Yes it is true strategic units open up some objective options. No you dont need mass squadrons to do this.
Shara Tycho VCX VCX
Valen Ciena Lambda Lambda
Both viable strategic small fighter wings.

True, 134 squadron lists benefit from having squadron beneficial objectives across all three even without strategic.
Strategic lists, as you rightly describe them, are a different thing. However, such lists are likely the same as they were prior to strategic, but now with a "strategic tax" to ensure that an opponent cannot simply move the tokens away from them. As such, strategic, in my opinion, actually closed down certain lists because of the inherent hard counter of strategic to objective token lists. Further, it absolutely kills no squadron lists because of the number of objectives it essentially nullifies as a possibility.
Most Wanted is the only one I see as over used. The other big ones just favor a certain play style that is prevalent. Most wanted is all Flotilla.
