Can anyone recommend some place I can order the little plastic character stands from the game, or something similar? (I would like to make homebrew characters with their own stands and don't know where to start.

I would try asking FFG for replacements, they seem to be pretty good about that.

But that would be taking unfair advantage of FFG's stellar service, so let's not do that.

Try asking on boardgamegeek.com - it has forums frequented by many gamers and modders, some of whom know where to buy such things.

The spot I'd look would be places that sell materials to make your own game. They should have something. Might not be the same, but would work.

Yes, I wouldn't take advantage of FFG by asking for free stands! Will try BGG and hope for the best.
