Droid rights is actually a pretty big part in the FFG published material. It comes up in Long Arm of the Hutt, and also appears in Debts to Pay, the adventure from the EotE GM screen. So, having it be part of the movies isn't really that big a stretch.

Were the "Imperial Army Troopers" wearing the armor of General Veers or sans-armor like the AT-ST drivers? Did the movie actually convey what these troops were up to? (guarding something, working on something, driving something, etc).

I wonder if "vibro" once meant actually vibrating blades, but has since become colloquial shorthand for any kind of powered blade, regardless of type.

The Praetorian weapons from TLJ were called vibro-weapons, despite having some kind laser beam edge, right?

From the starwars.com site: "The blades’ metal edges are complemented by razor-sharp beams of electro-plasma."

So the vibroweapons with glowing edges in TLJ are able to parry lightsabers, while the plain vanilla ones just have vibrating blades and will get sundered by lightsabers.

It's been my understanding that vibroweapons edges traditionally where described as glowing hot edges. But the ones in Solo looked like the ones in TLJ, while the ones Jabba's guard had in RoJ just looked like standard axes.

I loved this movie. Most fun I've had watching a Star Wars movie since the originals.

IV, V, VI, Solo, FA, TLJ, R1. That's my current ranking. I hear there are some other movies but the only thing good about them is Obi-Wan so I don't include them.

Someone tried to do the Kessel Run in 10 parsecs to deliver it and it didnt go well. I think the space hydra is enjoying it tho.

Thing with vibrating blades is that Lucas strictly hated anything that wasn't a lightsaber, blocking a lightsaber. Thus the reason Dark Saber exists; because it was a last minute change of colour pallet to creature a weapon a mandorloain would use to clash with a lightsaber. Even now I doubt they will break that trend, except with the magma guard staffs.

And ehhh; it isn't a phase knife by technicality. Close enough to count as one for the table. Hehehe

Weakest Disney Star Wars outing, but still acceptable and much better than the prquels. The cast elevates it. I thought the action scenes were a bit too busy.

I didn't like Last Jedi. I liked this. Best of the new Star Wars movies imo. If you were upset with Last Jedi and waiting to pull the trigger on this one, go see it.

I really hated TLJ, this was just... mediocre? Felt like an extended mid-season episode of a TV series to me.

One thing they definitely got right though was it felt Star Wars, whereas TLJ really missed the mark on that.

Ah well I am just going to make Vibro-Weapons described that way. I don't like the ever-expanding ironmongery, as I feel tech worship isn't an element I like to have invade star wars games. Thanks for the clarifications though.
