That kind we have in our game as well. Ironically she did build an squadron of assassin bots, trapped in labour chassis, abused as gunners for the rebellion. Personally I am just waiting for the day when the robot rebellion will start to blow up in her face … well our face. Basically she does not delete their memories ever and is waiting for them to make enough experiences to become enlightened ... so far they are still just following orders. But I doubt that it will stay that way. ?

Yeah, if you are going to start a rebellion, make sure it is pointed away from you.

I never thought of vibro weapons as having a glowing edge but I really loved that effect. Another big thing that I liked about the movie.

They arent vibro. They are something else

What, you had a social justice droid in your party?

Droid rights is actually a pretty big part in the FFG published material. It comes up in Long Arm of the Hutt, and also appears in Debts to Pay, the adventure from the EotE GM screen. So, having it be part of the movies isn't really that big a stretch.

They are phase knives, use an energy field to vapourise areas.

You are 100% correct.

It's a good thing actually slavery in the US was abolished when it was seeing how some people would even adhere the SJW label to those looking to free slaves nowadays.
When did SJW become the label to mock anyone looking to do the right thing? No, scratch that, when did doing the right thing become a mockable offense?

I was excited to see them too! And there were a handful of Stormtroopers but you had to dig through the background to find em. That was a great, chaotic battle scene.

About to go see it today, but quick questions...

Were the "Imperial Army Troopers" wearing the armor of General Veers or sans-armor like the AT-ST drivers? Did the movie actually convey what these troops were up to? (guarding something, working on something, driving something, etc).

The problem with SJWs is they tend to fight for thing regardless of whether or not the supposef victim wants it or not.

Nope the troops were told nothing. And were like veers.

Official Guide time again.

Vos wields a matched pair of custom Kyuzo petars. The blades have been designed to fit his humanoid fingers and thumb-claw, and are weighted for his reach and fighting style. The daggers have a sharp, tempered carbon edge, but with a flick of a button, they become lined with a scintillating monomolecular energy cord, further increasing their deadliness.

What does it say about the glave?

Even that very limited (and very personal) view of this term it does not fit with L3's character.

Enfys Nest's? Not much, really. It doesn't even get its own info; it's grouped in a box with all of Nest's weapons.

Enfys carries a weighted electroripper polearm, tipped with a glowing energy ribbon that crackles with incapacitating voltage and metal-shredding cutting power.

The picture also has a callout pointing to the end that says, "Kinetite charge in base can detonate on impact."

Could probaly use the concussion rifle as a basis for the effect

Can't wait to recieve the illustrated guide that was supposed to be delivered somewhere last week...

I wonder if "vibro" once meant actually vibrating blades, but has since become colloquial shorthand for any kind of powered blade, regardless of type.

The Praetorian weapons from TLJ were called vibro-weapons, despite having some kind laser beam edge, right?

Double post.

From the starwars.com site: "The blades’ metal edges are complemented by razor-sharp beams of electro-plasma."

So the vibroweapons with glowing edges in TLJ are able to parry lightsabers, while the plain vanilla ones just have vibrating blades and will get sundered by lightsabers.

It's been my understanding that vibroweapons edges traditionally where described as glowing hot edges. But the ones in Solo looked like the ones in TLJ, while the ones Jabba's guard had in RoJ just looked like standard axes.

I loved this movie. Most fun I've had watching a Star Wars movie since the originals.

IV, V, VI, Solo, FA, TLJ, R1. That's my current ranking. I hear there are some other movies but the only thing good about them is Obi-Wan so I don't include them.

Someone tried to do the Kessel Run in 10 parsecs to deliver it and it didnt go well. I think the space hydra is enjoying it tho.

:)

Thing with vibrating blades is that Lucas strictly hated anything that wasn't a lightsaber, blocking a lightsaber. Thus the reason Dark Saber exists; because it was a last minute change of colour pallet to creature a weapon a mandorloain would use to clash with a lightsaber. Even now I doubt they will break that trend, except with the magma guard staffs.

And ehhh; it isn't a phase knife by technicality. Close enough to count as one for the table. Hehehe

Weakest Disney Star Wars outing, but still acceptable and much better than the prquels. The cast elevates it. I thought the action scenes were a bit too busy.

I just had flick through the Art of Solo book: https://www.starwars.com/news/art-of-solo-author-phil-szostak-interview

These books always have great ideas for characters, NPCs, locations, ships etc.

The concept drawings of the DL-44 Carbine are mouthwatering cool. I need stats!

I didn't like Last Jedi. I liked this. Best of the new Star Wars movies imo. If you were upset with Last Jedi and waiting to pull the trigger on this one, go see it.

I really hated TLJ, this was just... mediocre? Felt like an extended mid-season episode of a TV series to me.

One thing they definitely got right though was it felt Star Wars, whereas TLJ really missed the mark on that.

Ah well I am just going to make Vibro-Weapons described that way. I don't like the ever-expanding ironmongery, as I feel tech worship isn't an element I like to have invade star wars games. Thanks for the clarifications though.
