Thoughts on list using new Chopper

I like the new chopper, very appropriate for the tin-can! What are y’alls Thoughts on this list:

Gunners (99)

•Horton Salm (37) - Y-Wing

•Poe Dameron (40) - T-70 X-Wing
Adaptability (0), •R2-D2 (4), Advanced Optics (2), •Black One (1), Integrated Astromech (0)

The first pass is set up for max damage, or max red dice I should say. After 1-2 rounds of head on, Horton drops the bomb on the pass while chopper gets rid of the BTL title, which allows Horton to asssume the role of range three sniping. If not, K-turn and come back.

I do like the idea of altering the role of the Y-Wing past that first engagement.

I would Change Thermal Detonator to Ion Bomb or Seismic Charge to give Poe VI instead of adaptability.

In general, never take the PS 9 Poe with Adaptability. Take the PS 8 Poe with VI instead. It's a point cheaper for the same PS 10.

Poe is also missing Autothrusters. Personally, I think I'd rather have PS 10 with AT than PS 11 with just Integrated Astromech. PS 8 with VI, BOne, AdvO, R2-D2, and AT comes in at 41 points. That could be gotten with just giving up the bid, or by keeping the bid and swapping the Thermal Detonators for Ions or Seismic, per @jmswood .

Love this. I love Chopper Horton. And Poe is just A+ always. Though I wonder if a different third ship would be of more value? Perhaps a TIE or a Sheathipede? Ultimately, after Blount fire his missile, he's useless, and there's not good way to trigger the condition anyway. I'd much rather have a Rex, or a TIE Sabine carrier, or a cheap support Sheathipede.

Good point. I’ll try out a Shearhipede and see how it works.

Follow up: Ashoka didn’t due to well. First round of shooting had Poe out of position and Horton got nearly wiped out from focus fire from QuickDraw, Vader and Pure. Second round of shooting Poe and Horton took out QuickDraw but QuickDraw one shot Ashoka and Horton was tipped off by Pure.

Thoughts: Ashoka must be too close to the fight for my liking.

What about either one of these two replacements:

•Captain Rex (24) - TIE,
Sabine's Masterpiece (1), Stealth Device (3), Recon Specialist (3), "Hot Shot" Blaster (3)

•Fenn Rau (27) - Sheathipede
Wired (1), Inspiring Recruit (1), •M9-G8 (3), Pulsed Ray Shield (2)

Something to add to this that was pointed out to me the other day that i totally missed (because it wasn't relevant i guess).

Adding extra munitions to a ship not only puts a token on the Missiles and Bombs you may have, but also onto the Extra Munitions card itself (its a torp slot card after all). So you get an extra free use of chopped out of Extra Munitions should you take it.

The only drawback is that if Horton doesnt get shot at then he doesnt take the damage for Chopper to repair. Someone could quite easily ignore him till last, keeping him forward locked to avoid the TLT.
