Its all a ruse by lord preyer to help me qualify for the knockouts ...... :)

Fleet Patrol game score coming through:

@thecactusman17 beats @jp82729 8-3 with a score of 356 to 162 for 194 MOV. We played his Contested Outpost.

Admiral Motti's newest weapon, the Kuat Star Destroyer Avarice , was accompanied by Admiral Motti and his team of expert Combat Slicers. Deploying in a centralized area to capture the outpost on the eastern edge of the system, Grand Admiral Thrawn attempted to catch Motti in a pincer movement with the Chimera and a team of Imperial Light Cruisers acting as pickets. The Avarice moved to directly engage the light defenses of the Outpost while Motti swung wide to flank the Chimera from the west. As pickets and TIE fighters battered the shields of the Avarice , it overwhelmed the enemy flotilla's efforts to scatter from its opening salvo, and came in for a broadside. However, it was a trap, and the Chimera came in to strike with overwhelming force. On Motti's order, the reinforced Avarice risked critical damage to swing it's nose nearly 90 degrees sideways, forcing the Chimera to move past it's optimum engagement angle. Motti's Defenestrator struck a crucial blow and knocked out the structural safety reinforcements of the Chimera, leaving the ship unable to brace for impact. With the Chimera's rear shields knocked out, it escaped the Avarice' s double arc but moved to leave its rear hull completely exposed. Sounding the order to prepare for impact, the captain of the Avarice launched all forward weapons and left the Chimera crippled at range! With no chance of escaping in to free space, the Avarice knew that the only way out was straight ahead:

ramming.png

The Chimera was lost in a catastrophic display of crumpled armor and ruined structural braces, with the battered and bloody Avarice barely holding on in clear and present danger from the enemy. Motti ordered the full evacuation of the ship as it was swarmed by TIE fighters while the Defenesrator eliminated Thrawn's picket defenses in a desperate bid to save the Star Destroyer. Alas, enemy squadrons ruptured the shield generator core and the ship was lost. As Motti's Gozanti Cruisers frantically transported escape pods to the beachhead on the contested station Thrawn's final picket cruiser grabbed the survivors it could find and jumped to hyperspace.

Though at a steep cost, this outpost once more serves the Empire!

Really? Crap. Update in the morning

Probably one of the best Armada memes ive ever seen tho haha.

The response to my post seems to be fairly positive so I'll leave it up. But I have updated to the correct Fleet Patrol reports section.

Had the game continued it would have been a 10-1 for certain. He had total control and I had no chance. Hence why I conceded. Sorry @GhostofNobodyInParticular - had I known I’d have just let you play it out to score all your points.

Thrindal vs BMcdonald7 ended with a 7-4 win to me.

BMcDonald7 - 178

Thrindal - 49

129 MOV to BMcDonald7

Thrindal with JJ vs Motti and we played my Salvage Run

Thrindal's 2 ISD's meant I was looking to approach either side of them and not fly into the middle for a bloodbath. Thrindal used JJ to turn and avoid the worst of Avenger. I got all 4 tokens and mopped up his Gozanti and Raider. He killed my comms net Gozanti and 2 of my squads. All in all it was a good game and neither of us had much of a choice as him flying into Avenger was not ideal and my flying into a 2 ISD pizza sandwich wasn't tempting.

GG to Thrindal, very nice opponent.

Rikash vs @moodswing5537 ends in a 306-42 (9-2) victory for Rikash.

Mood went first and we played my Most Wanted.

The game opened with one of mood's flotillas going down under the onslaught of around half of my squads. Turn 2 saw Shara/Tycho engaging my squads and subsequently being killed for their troubles. My jamming fields gozanti body blocked the MC30 from getting at my Vic before it could get into position. My squads that were otherwise unoccupied knocked off most of Plain Jane's (the lightly upgraded blocked MC30) shields and tokens down. Next turn saw Plain Jain overkill the jamming fields flotilla and subsequently die to squads. Admonition and Foresight continued to flank hard, but my Vic sped up to make it hard to turn enough to engage (at the cost of not being able to shoot more then pot shots at them the rest of the game). Squads proceeded to pick off Admonition (though he nearly managed to escape, running at speed 4 along my deployment edge) and demo picked up another flotilla.

Thanks to Mood for a great game!

Vassal logs for this game and my game vs Broba linked below (forgot to get my game vs MHD).

It's alright. Though I do kinda like the suggestion that we pick it up in part 2. . . :) I doubt that's allowed though. Anyways regardless, I scored more than I had anticipated, and learned a bit too, so I am content.

Lord Preyer wins as first player 400-134, 9-2, taking my contested outpost.

@Ginkapo flew his Konstantine Raiders Slicers and Mediums bravely but the Grand Admiral’s dials defied him. The score belies how different things would have been if just one round of ExRacks had opened up on Chimaera.

As ever, a delight to play one of Armada’s most creative players. Here’s to next time!

Tokra defeated @GhostofNobodyInParticular ; 82 to 378.

GhostofNobodyInparticular was first player and chose Most Wanted.

It was way more close than the result might suggest. My ISD came away with only 5 hull and no shields. Taking down the Intel from GoNIp really was the winner in this match.

Here's the log .

Jan went down to Saber the turn before combat started. . . it was quite saddening. His dice were perfect - getting all the accs he needed and more, and still doing enough damage to kill. :)

Pod 3, @GiledPallaeon Vs. Dupy

15 to 462 for Dupy (10-1 victory?)

447 MOV

This was a tough match up for Giled Pallaeon. He came in with 2 ISD I Bruisers +3, and the bid against My 2 Glad, raider,+1, and squads. He chose first and my Superior Positions. That was his downfall. He lined up in the lower right corner, I spread my ships across the top with Insideous in the top right and Demo in the top left corners, my squads were across from the ISD laying in wait.

The Isd's sped up to 3 and split up, Semothrace on the right, was gunning for the last first against Insideous pinning him against the right edge. Insideous tried to evade, but the great front arc caught him in medium range for the first ship on ship action of the game. Insideous took a shot to the rear and discarded his Brace token after being intelled and rammed by Semothrace. He was pedal to the metal and squirted by just running for his life.

Meanwhile, Manticore on the left hung a left to charge after demo and friends. This left Manticore's derriere hanging exposed. My fighters and bombers jumped on like a bunch of deer ticks. Manticore thrashed around the station, ran into rocks, and waved his tail at them, to no avail. My squads stayed there farming points until the ISD had no more blood to give. The earned 21 victory tokens and a dead ISD in the process.

Giled Palleon was gracious in defeat and a great sport when stuck in a rough spot. I thank him for the game.

Cheers.

I am afraid I did not start a log file.

I stand corrected.

I found a short video of the battle between @Dupy and @GiledPallaeon :

mariocoins.gif

We did the last match in pod6.

Tokra defeated @Lord Preyer , 489 to 172.

Lord Preyer was first player and chose Superior Position.

It was a really impressive game. Preyers Squadrons went for my ISD and really stripped him (down to 8 hull and all shields gone). It was way more than i was expecting. But the counterattack from my squadrons killed all of his in nearly one turn (combined with the double black Flak from my ISD).
Two turns after his massive squadron attack my ISD died to Thrawn (i could dodge one turn on long range). But my squadrons need only two turn with full attacks in the back (both Attacks without Sloane) to rip the mighty nearly 200 point, ISD. The 11 Victory Tokens in addition made it a total overkill.

Superior position was a dangerous choice. But still the best of the 3 (sound strange after a 300+ MOV game).

Winner of the day was Jendon (not because of his effect!). He killed Morna Kee with the Counter attack and finished the ISD (had to do it, just because i never had the chance for this).

This was quite a game, and I decided going into it to play hyper aggressive since I needed a 9-2 to advance. On Turn 2, Jaina's light was on the left flank and Admonition was on the right flank, giving good options for both sides. I went with Jaina's Light's side for the MC75 Raddus drop. It popped a couple flotillas to remove a lot of Roquax's activation advantage. By the end of turn 3, Admonition had Yavaris lined up for a close-range double arc with first activation to start turn 4. Admonition should kill Yavaris the vast majority of the time with just average rolls, needing 3 damage with APT on both to kill it. Quantum Storm with Slicer Tools was in range, but I didn't want to give Yavaris a chance to live.

Front arc roll: blue H, black H-H. Reroll both blacks: H-B. Leaving Yavaris with 5 hull.
Side arc roll: blue C-H, black H-H-H. Reroll all blacks: H-B-H.

Like @CaribbeanNinja said: OE-vay.

And with that, Yavaris was able to get two double taps with enough bombers around the MC75 that it would die on that turn. But the cascade effect also meant that my one-hull ETRC90 had nowhere to go without ramming or risking the board edge.

While I was hoping to be able to pull out the win against a well-played 2+4 list, I was also eager to get to tuning this list with the rest of Wave 7 fully spoiled now. Good game to Roquax, and good luck in the eliminations!

Log file of our match is found here.
