No they are not. Fleet objectives are hidden information, and as the fleets are kept through the tourney the objectives are not shared. It is not fair for first player to KNOW the objectives of the other player before choosing to go first or second.

Actually, there are no objectives on that list. They are open secrets, I suppose, if you watch games.

I stand corrected!

Serves me right from going from the Hip ;)

Scoreboard updated to this point.

If I looked at a fleet... I would be able to guess the objectives with great certainty.

And if I guessed wrong, it probably means a suboptimal objective.

Great for me as first player.

C'mon GK, back that up!

Post your objective guesses for all of the fleets.

Seriously, that would be a fascinating exercise (in another topic). I'd love to see what other experts come up with as well. @JJs Juggernaut

As always I'm exaggerating. But only slightly.

Dr Alex lost to @Aresius 316 - 229. so a 7-4

Dr Alex went first and played intel sweep.

I finally killed Aresius' liberty after about 18 months of trying, however to do so Defiance ended up in a swarm of really rubbish bombers. They did eventually kill him.

Annoyingly it came down to one dice on about turn 3, if my CR90 had rolled acc hit hit to shoot Aresius' objective ship we would have tied with two objective tokens each and I would get 18 points for killing the flotilla. that would win me the game. In the event I rolled acc acc hit and it slived with one health. Oh well, such is life

Aresius is through, it comes down to me v @Darth Veggie to see who gets the runner up place

always fun to play aresius, who is a lovely man, I just can't beat him and want to destroy his dreams like he does mine...

rasproteus defeated @PodRacer 241-92 for an 8-3 MoV

Edit: we played his most wanted.

Shara died ignominiously to a Saber squadron/Jendon double tap. Irritatingly got two hits and two accs on both shots. That sticks out in my mind for some reason. :)

Otherwise a well-flown game by Podracer as the only true hero on my squad was the Not-Admonition, who managed to chase down Pursuant and handled a pair of transports on his own. Podracer's Tua ECM Flotilla was exactly as annoying as I expected it would be, and it took literally the entire rest of my fleet to kill it. :) Tycho somehow managed to survive to the bitter end, but totally flubbed a roll that would have taken Boba Fett out.

Thanks, Pod, it was a fun game and very tense (at least for me).

Karneck defeats Viktor Tanek 282 - 116 for 166 MOV. 8-3

Karneck was first player and picked Fighter Ambush

This game was a bloodbath starting in round 1 all the way through round 6. For anybody watching, it is non stop squadron action as things explode left and right on both sides.
I opened with my Alpha round 1 because I feared a Saber Jendon strike on my fighter's and knocking out an ace or two of my generics.

At the time I thought I blew it when I only managed to (just barely) kill his mauler. His counter attack was strong and I foolishly sent black squadron to his death by placing him near Viktor's Rudor (having thought he had activated already for some reason).

As with all things, the die roll's made the call.

The finale has my VSD facing down BT Avenger ISD and AGAIN with super lucky die rolls, two squadrons stripped the ISD of it's much needed brace.

Excellent play by Viktor, great opponent, and a very finely tuned list he has.

Are you sure? I think there is only 1 game not played in pod 8 for example.

The internets in Norwedenland are slower than Murica. It's a conspiracy....

@Rikash defeated @mhd , 403 to 170 for a 233 MOV (9-2)
Rikash was First Player and chose Fire Lanes

A nasty alpha knocked Gold, a yt-1300, and Ten numb off before they were able to do much damage. Careful use of Jamming fields and having Maarek + Aces bravely run away kept the Yavaris triple tap from being devastating to my ties. Mauler did his work after all the non-heavy squads were down while Maarek and Rhymer went to work on Defiance's shields. My VSD and Defiance traded shots all game (I didn't get to use my brace once) and the VSD ended up limping away on 1 health with not a shield to his name. Defiance stayed alive as only a RBD/ECM doom pickle can but in the end VSD close range shots + squadron plinks brought the whale down. Demo picked up Yavaris in the last activation of turn 3 after waiting the Neb B out. I overkilled on the Demo shot after ramming him (down to 1 health) and rolled a hard 4x hit/crit out the side. Poor Yavaris won't be hurting anyone ever again.

Thanks for a great game, @mhd ! The Yavaris/pickle combo was nasty and I was seriously worried I was going to lose too many squads to be able to get the big guy. The dice gods came down on my side though, saving the day. We'll have to get a rematch soon. :)

Updated again to this point (yeah, I know, just one game, but I'm doing this so Biggs sees where I am)

Karneck defeats Tgall 247 - 116 for 131 MOV. 7-4

Tgall was 1st player and picked Planetary Ion Cannon.

Vlog - https://www.dropbox.com/s/ykw86zd1r61vexa/Kar v TGall.vlog?dl=0

What an amazing game from Tgall. It was a very sharp match up. Those VT's put the fear of the Emperor in me and they did pack a whollap. It contributed to me losing my QF when Insidious finally caught up, and they manged to wipe out my generics and Howlrunner and start stripping scatter tokens off my aces.
Round 2 I commited to killing his Slicer Goz and I feared that it was a mistake since it allowed his VT's to come in and start popping things with black die. With some (again!) lucky die rolls, my squadrons were able to bearly carry the day.
Demo being deployed for a far flank, I had to pull Jendon ans Stele to go deal with it, since I knew Warlord would unlikely be able to handle it all on his own. Warlord only fired one shot once Demo finally came into range which put it down.

All in all, I feel like both sides played extremely well, I knew going in, the best I could hope for was a 7-4 win or a 7-4 loss. Very interested to see how the rest of the games play out! Good luck to the rest of Pod 2!

Comatose vs BMcDonald7 ended in a victory for myself 327-114 - 213 MOV, 8-3

We played salvage run with me being 2nd player.

Comatose is rocking Raddus and the big MC75 ordinance cruise. This was both our first times playing the objective and with my Lambda shuttle moving tokens it turned into 80 points for me. Comatose took his Admo out wide to vape one of my Gozanti's but that effectively took it out of the fight on the left side. The MC75 came in off my right flank round 3 threatening Demo. I managed to take out Jaina's light with some good roles from Demo before she could activate giving me activation advantage again. He put the MC75 in position to vaporize Demo but it allowed me to put Avenger in position to get the MC75 at close range and BT Avenger did the rest with the help of Mauler. Quantum storm went down to a lucky crit/hit to end the game.

GG played by Comatose and I can see how Raddus can be quite deadly. Thank you for the GG!

I have a logfile but I'm not sure how to upload it so hopefully Comatose can post his if he wants to. :)

JJs (1st Player) vs Tgall

Objective: Station Assault

Score: 400-0 (400 MoV) win for JJs Juggernaut

This game was intense. I only won with just a large margin because I was able to kill Dengar just in time to tie down the VT's. If I hadn't killed him, the MC75 would almost certainly have died. I was able to drop in and threaten the Gladiators, forcing the decision to abandon Demo to certain doom. Admo followed up and finished off the other GSD, as well as all three flotillas. I focused one station down at the end of turn 4 to even out the objective points. A good game to my opponent, the score doesn't do this game justice!

Brobafett defeats MHD 448 - 221 for 227 MOV. 9 - 2

Brobafett was 1st player and picked Fire Lanes.

Super fun game, first time playing MHD I think, buy he is a great opponent. This was my first time playing a Garm pickle, and I'll be honest I wasn't sure if I could handle the flexibility- especially backed up with a Garm/Ahsoka/Adar fueled Yavaris and Ten Numb. He moved the fire lanes tokens and set up the escort yt-1300's and i just burned hard on them, killing Ten before he activated turn 2. From there Yavaris went down and Garm found himself trapped between a Quasar and Demo. That sealed the deal.

Thanks for a great game @mhd , and to all of pod 1, including @moodswing5537 and @Rikash great job. Thanks for teaching me some tricks!
