Tokra defeated @Ginkapo , 287-50.

It was a great game, even if the dice gods were clearly on my side in this match. But Konstantine, Slicer, Tractor beam can be really nasty.

@Realadmiralsdoitinspace vs Darth Veggie ended in 226 - 127 in my favour (7-4 victory). I was first player and we played Minefields.

Here is the log file.

The game was crazy. It was an accumulation of mistakes and wrong decisions. In the end I had made some wrong decisions less and was thereby able to ****** away victory.

Also features of this game: Totally useless A-Wings (mine; they didn't fire one shot), a totally useless CHAMpion (mine as well, waited on his ship till the end of the game) and totally useless repair crews (his; they merely repaired the beer bottles in their hands, by emptying them).

It was gripping, fun, and my opponent is a great guy. One thing I have learned in this game: Real Admirals do it in space!

Second the crazy nature - but was a lot of fun, and @Darth Veggie was a great opponent...

My features? Raddus can clearly be powerful, but the decision when to drop him really is a make-or-break and in my case lead to a sure-fire case of decision paralysis... certainly think I messed up holding off 'till round 3 - really compounds the activation disadvantage. I'm starting to re-think my early excitement for the googly-eyed one - (though clearly I'm struggling fitting him in this particular fleet - with Dodonna as it's admiral I was seven wins out of my last eight, with Raddus it's 3 and Oh!). Also, now have a new appreciation for Reikaan'd ramming fleets (praise the lord for the incoming hardened bulkheads)!

Tokra took my station assault. I controlled his fleet, and still walked away on the wrong side, mostly because my Vic could only protect the stations for so long.

IrishMadCat defeats PodRacer 244-58 We played my Superior Positions.

Not a great showing for me, I conceded too many advantages to Irish across the course of the game.

His Toryn backed Yavaris Bwings demolished all in their path, Including 114 point of squads a raider and 75 points in Superior Positions tokens.

Well Played Irish, A pleasure as always.

Best of luck Going Forwards!

I found this one out of place ?

Edit 2: @Ardaedhel would be proud of the maneuver Admonition pulls off at the beginning of Round 3.

That was silly, I thought for sure I had Admo boxed in.

The Raider Maneuver was not my best moment for sure, should have just flown off and taken the 6-5 loss. Great game @comatose

Captain Weather defeated @Admiral Theia 520-205 in Contested Outpost.

Admiral Theia decided to take first player with her extravagant 1pt bid.

Honestly, I think I got pretty lucky here and the score doesn't reflect how tight the game was for the first half of the game. We're both pretty new with Vassal (it was Theia's first game with it, and I haven't touched it since the Freshman tournament) so we were terrible and did not record a logfile. The above photo was the board state at the end of Turn 6 (with Ciena and Saber running out of fuel shortly thereafter).

Admiral deployed with her ISD in line with the Outpost, her Gozanti on my right (towards the centre of the board) and the Quasar on my left with her fighters sprinkled throughout. I deployed my MC75 on my far left, my corvette beside it and my three transports at various angles nested beneath the Outpost with my squads in front of them.

I raced up the left flank with my MC-75, I turned Quantum hard towards the left to avoid the ISD (and she ended up doing a complete circle down through the bottom left quadrant to come up and claim the station late in the game. My corvette turned in towards the station, and both Toryn and Ahsoka turned right across the station covering my squads.

Theia jumped in with basically all her squads (barring Ciena) on Turn 2 from both Vector and the Quasar. They hit pretty hard and took out one of the YTs and a Y-Wing. The flak though from my transports, and the constant Toryn re-rolls really proved the difference and I started to get the better of them by Turn 4.

Meanwhile I messed up with the MC-75. Theia had elected to Governor Pryce her ISD on Turn 2 during deployment. I turned in towards the middle with the MC-75 when I should have stayed straight and it allowed the ISD to get in the nose of the MC-75, prevent any possible escape, and gave me only my front arc (uh-oh). To seal the trap though Theia dropped the Quasar to Speed 0. This ended up costly as I elected to punch it in the nose with my 3 blue stripping it of its shields. Meanwhile I moved the CR-90 to my right of the ISD and lined up a double-arc on the Quasar.

Having already unleashed one close range front arc to soften up the MC-75, Theia activated the ISD first and unloaded a second time adding external racks. Lando saved my bacon a little as he helped ease the damage, still the MC-75 was hanging on with 2 hull and hardly any shields (the rams were starting to add up on the ISD as well though).

In response I activated my CR90 and blew the Quasar away. The squadron war started to swing my way at this point, and I took out the Gozanti at the bottom of the turn (if I recall).

The MC75 got annihilated the next turn, and Theia (wary of my squadron ball) slowed down just clipping the hanging debris field and lining up the CR90 with a double arc (ouch!). TRC and Concentrate fire stripped the ISD of it's remaining shields and left it with about 5 or 6 hull(?). The next round the ISD moved up and enough of my squads, including my two Hawks, were in position and mobbed the ISD, with a HWK going down to distract Ciena.

I really did think that with my MC75 turned in as hard as it was that it was going to end up a 6-5 to one player or the other, but the tough old bird held on long enough to make up for my big error.

Thanks Admiral for being a great opponent, dealing with my distinctly Australian personality, and managing the game around your family. It was a pleasure, cheers!

No, the score, how the **** do the scores come out the same between both games for both of you winning AND losing??
Your last game, and your game last month.

I think he's saying you and Pod played a game last month too, with exactly the same score. But I am not sure.

@Aresius defeated @Darth Veggie , 396 to 74 - MOV 322, 10-1

Darth Veggie was First Player and chose Precision strike.

If Darth Veggie want, can describe the game, i'm not very good in english report sorry :D

Short version: @Aresius complained on many occasions that he cannot win against my fleet and that he is therefore depressed. And he was right. He could not win... but I could lose!

And, oh boy, I did. First I misdeployed Admo. Therefore it did not participate at all in the game. But even this was not decisive. Then in round 3 I made some activation order mistakes and that meant that his liberty could escape.

Thanks to Aresius for the game. He is a great player who makes no mistakes. I have learned much in this match, especially about the state of the game in general.

Updated to this point. Corrected Ginkapo's score.

JJs (1st Player) vs Viktor Tanek

Objective: Advanced Gunnery

Score: 510-33 (400 MoV) win for JJs Juggernaut

Good game to my opponent. A classy fellow :D The score doesn't quite show how tight it was. Avenger came within 1 damage of killing the Profundity at long range due to defense token stripping from squadrons. After that I was able to double tap Avenger off the table, and the Quasar the next turns. Without Sloan and with Marek down due to flak, I was able to repair through the damage.

Brobafett defeated Rikash, 307 to 127. 180 mov - 8/3
Brobafett was First Player and chose Rikash's Superior Positions.

Man this pod is crazy, let me tell you. Every single point is being eared here with sweat and blood. Rikash is an excellent player, and I was scared of his squads. I knew I needed to dangle the quasar and get him to alpha there hoping to burn it, and trust that the quasar's hull could bear the brunt. He got the quasar in the end, but I cleared up his squads, dodged his ships, and then turn 6 our demo's struck out at each other and Rikash's got the worse of it and mine limped off with no shields and 4 hull.

An awesome player, and an incredibly accommodating guy since we had a tough time scheduling. Super grateful for that @Rikash

Dr Alex defeated @Realadmiralsdoitinspace 226 to 203
Dr Alex was First Player and chose Fleet ambush

It was a Mon Calamari civil war and both sides got battered.

Rear’s Raddus fleet set up facing my CR90bs in the ambush zone and he put down Home one in such a way that I could immediately ram the front of it with Garel’s Honour (note spelling). The liberty Raddus’d in before turn one and screwed my plan to use two CR90bs to go flotilla hunting. My CR90bs went from being fierce prey to scared whitebait in one deployment.

That said Home One completely failed to kill a CR90b with a broadside, Garel’s Honour did lots of damage by ramming but the external racks shot did very little due to not rolling a brace. Endeavour killed all the CR90bs basically, the corvettes died so that Defiance could wipe out Home One and took out quantum storm and a flotilla on the way in. After that there wasn’t enough firepower for Defiance or Endeavour to take either ship down and I let Bright Hope go as it made no difference to the final score and I had the technical chance of taking down endeavour in two turns of Ackbar MC80, but I didn’t.

great game, stupidly close score.

added as much of a logfile as I have

And the Raddus retreat badwagon rolls on - three out of three! (I want my beardy old man back!_

A fun game with the always gentlemanly @Dr alex , felt like I was always chasing the game after some appalling dice in rounds one and two. The good doctor deployed well in the ambush zones, with Garel's Honour well-set to keep me H1 off the station just when he needed to be there.

mhd versus @moodswing5537 played the distillery bowl to determine which is better scotch or Bourbon. We played my advanced gunnery where I fought a retreating battle using the edge of the board as a shield that negated his overwhelming, maneuvering and activation advantage. My squadrons iced Tycho then stuck Shara Bey next to two yt1300s taking her out the game allowing everyone else to bombing the mc30s to death after they made their attack run. Mood was limited to feeding the mc30s one at a time into Defiance. I killed admo (94 + 64 for AG) and his plain Jane ship (80)and Tycho (16) in exchange for one of the YTs (13) so 253 - 13, MOV 240 in what was a not terribly fun game for Mood who is a great competitor and a great guy. I may have won the game but would buy him a bourbon at a bar if given the chance.

I totally halved instead of doubled my ship point cost. Obviously the bourbon affects math. It was a good game, lots of fun trying to maneuver around. I feel like me not running into anything with my mc30's while using mothma instead of madine is a win for me.....its the little things. I'll let you by me that bourbon if you let me buy the Macallan 18yr.

Is it policy to only reveal the selected objective, or are the others public knowledge as well?

I think all 3 objectives are listed on the Fleet Lists submitted and available to peruse. They'll just mention which one was chosen for the game in this space, you'll have to look up the fleet lists in question on Steel Squadron
