Nop, I really don’t care about Hoth Troopers either. They are quite likely I suppose, but I’ll certainly be painting them as something else.

Agreed, which is similar to my approach to the Snowtroopers.

I understand the complication FFG is facing though. Unlike X-Wing, there are not a lot of distinct Rebel ground troop distinctions. There are the Alderaanian consular security from a new hope, the troops at Echo Base in Empire, the Pathfinders at Endor, and the soldiers on Scarif. The last two look very similar to each other and the Rebel Troopers unit.

Although generally true, they appear to be making an effort to enable single faction purchasing for this game. I would guess that this means the extra communication upgrade is speeder bike or Empire only.

It may not be Empire onky, but you will also find it in a Rebel expansion at some point. That's how it works in Runewars, at least.
